What to do if your toenails become loose

What to do if your toenails become loose

In life, many people kick stones with their toes because they don't pay attention to the road, which can cause their toenails to become loose. Loose toenails can easily lead to swelling and toenail infection and suppuration, which need to be treated in time, otherwise it will affect walking. To treat loose toenails, you should supplement foods containing silicon and calcium, and apply ointments recommended by your doctor.

Loose nails can easily cause pain, swelling and other discomfort. It is usually caused by trauma. Go to hospital for nail removal treatment immediately.

Onychomycosis is a common minor surgical operation in clinical practice. It is safe and effective, and there is no obvious pain under local anesthesia. It is often used for ingrown toenail, paronychia, onychomycosis, etc. Patients with nail diseases should be familiar with nail removal. One of the issues that many patients are concerned about after nail removal is how long it will take for the nail to grow out.

Nails are derived from the skin. Their growth rate varies not only from person to person, but is also affected by factors such as age, climate, day and night cycle, menstruation, nutrition, and gender. The average adult nails can grow 1 to 1.4 mm per week, and the growth rate of toenails is only 1/2 to 1/3 of that of fingernails. This is a gradual process and cannot be rushed.

If you want your nails to grow healthily, you must ensure that you take in the following nutrients:

1. Silicon is needed for hair, bones and nails.

2. Vitamin B adds riboflavin (B2), B12, and folic acid. Lack of vitamin B can easily make nails brittle.

3. Brewer's yeast is rich in protein.

4. Calcium, magnesium and vitamin D; they are essential nutrients for nail growth.

5. Vitamin C; inflammation of hangnails and tissues around nails is related to vitamin C deficiency.

6. Protein amino acids are the components of nails. Amino acids are absorbed and utilized faster.

7. Vitamin A.

8. Iron; iron deficiency can cause spoon-shaped nails and longitudinal ridges.

At the same time, we would like to remind everyone that after nail removal, you should prevent infection, protect the local area, and avoid deformity of the new nail. Keep the local dressing clean and dry, avoid contamination, and avoid wearing tight shoes to avoid deformity of the new toenail.
