In the first half of the menstrual cycle, that is, before ovulation, the amount gradually increases and becomes thinner and more translucent. When ovulation occurs, estrogen secretion reaches its peak, the amount of cervical mucus is the largest, its toughness is the strongest, and its appearance is as smooth as egg white. During the ovulation period, the large amount of cervical mucus secretion can last for about 2-3 days.
