Why is my face crooked in photos

Why is my face crooked in photos

In life, many people like to take photos, but sometimes the photos show that the face is asymmetrical and the mouth is a little crooked. In fact, sometimes it may be because of the wrong angle of the photo. Sometimes it is because the face is crooked. In fact, the crooked face is not necessarily ugly. So why is the face crooked in the photo?

Most people probably have this problem, and very few people are completely symmetrical.

Especially when taking pictures with the front camera, you look very beautiful, but in the rear camera, your face and mouth are crooked! You look more and more beautiful when you look in the mirror, but you look unsymmetrical in the photo.

The main reason is: facial asymmetry! First of all, most people are accustomed to chewing on one side, which will cause the masseter muscle on one side to be larger, resulting in an asymmetrical face and an asymmetrical mouth. Secondly, malocclusion (the midline of the upper teeth and the midline of the lower teeth are not aligned) or off-bite, long-term abnormal bite leads to a crooked mouth. Generally, people with crooked teeth will have crooked mouth and face. I am an example myself, but I am currently undergoing dental surgery. Sleeping on your side in one direction for a long time may also cause this.

In fact, many celebrities have this problem, so when taking photos, they will choose the angle that looks best to them and then do some post-production photoshopping.

Some experts also say that the brain will automatically beautify itself when looking in the mirror, which sounds quite impressive. But it has no scientific basis and is a lie. The you in the mirror is presented through a flat mirror image. The image passes through the pupil and lens and falls on the retina, which transmits signals to the brain. If the brain can beautify, then why not beautify other people or objects in the mirror? They are all transmitted to your brain through the same principle through the plane mirroring effect of the mirror, and are exactly the same.
