The harder the water is, the more tea scale it will produce. The hardness of groundwater is greater than that of surface water, and the tea scale formed by brewing tea with pure water will be much less. When making tea with tap water, boil the water thoroughly for a few minutes. The calcium and magnesium in the water will form carbonate alkali, reducing the formation of tea scale.

First pour about half a cup of hot water into the thermos, cut the potatoes into cubes, put them into the thermos, then tighten the lid and shake it up and down vigorously for two minutes.

Open the cup, pour out the water and diced potatoes, and rinse it with clean water. You will find that the tea stains attached to the wall of the cup have become significantly less.
