Does the electric fan blow on the head or the feet?

In the hot summer, people like to lie comfortably in an air-conditioned bedroom, but some people don't have air conditioning at home and can only use fans. They must not use fans for a long time, because it will cause cold air to accumulate in the body. They should not use fans when sleeping, otherwise it may cause ceiling fan wind. So is it better to have an electric fan blowing on your head or on your feet?

Those who insist on blowing directly on the head believe that: the head is afraid of heat, so of course you should blow directly on the head. Those who hold opposing views argue that blowing towards the head can easily cause a cold or a headache. At first glance, it seems that "the man has his own reasons, and the woman has her own reasons." For a moment, I didn't know how to place the electric fan properly. In fact, if you have to choose one or the other, it is better not to let the fan blow towards your feet.

As the saying goes, "Cold starts from the soles of the feet." Chinese medicine also has the saying that "Warming the feet is better than taking medicine for a cold head." Warming the feet is considered an important principle of health care. The feet are farthest from the heart and are located at the bottom of the human body. Once they are exposed to cold, blood return will be obstructed, causing blockage of the meridians and easily leading to various diseases. On the contrary, the head has an adequate blood supply and is the most resistant to cold - and also the most afraid of heat. Before the invention of electric fans, our ancestors always used fans to keep cool. Even now, there are still many elderly people who like to cool off with a palm-leaf fan.

You can observe that they all fan their heads, and only occasionally they slap their feet. Their main purpose is probably to drive away mosquitoes rather than to remove heat. This is because, under normal circumstances, as long as the head does not feel hot, the body will not feel hot and uncomfortable. Therefore, placing an electric fan at your feet and letting it blow towards your feet is harmful to your health. Of course, it is not appropriate to have the fan blowing directly at your head continuously. The best way is to let the fan rotate naturally to speed up the air flow throughout the house, so that the indoor temperature will drop and the human body will feel more comfortable. So do you know? The electric fan should not be blown towards your head or feet. An oscillating fan is best!
