Calcium zinc stabilizer is mainly divided into fixed calcium zinc stabilizer and liquid calcium zinc stabilizer, which is a non-toxic stabilizer. It is a white powder in appearance and is often used in food packaging. It also has a wide range of uses in medical devices. It has a certain lubricity, can improve stability, and can improve transparency. Let's take a look at the calcium-zinc composite stabilizer.
The appearance of calcium zinc stabilizer is mainly white powder, flakes and paste. Powdered calcium zinc stabilizer is the most widely used non-toxic PVC stabilizer and is commonly used in food packaging, medical equipment, wire and cable materials, etc. At present, PVC calcium zinc stabilizers that can be used for rigid pipes have appeared in China. The thermal stability of powdered calcium zinc stabilizer is not as good as that of lead salt. It has certain lubricity, poor transparency, and is easy to bloom. In order to improve its stability and transparency, antioxidants such as hindered phenols, polyols, phosphites and β-diketones are often added to improve it. The two major systems of calcium zinc stabilizers are mainly divided into hydrotalcite system and zeolite system. The prices of powdered calcium zinc stabilizers vary widely, and there is no standardized national standard to regulate them.
The appearance of liquid calcium zinc stabilizer is mainly light yellow oily liquid. There is little difference in stability between powder and liquid. Liquid calcium zinc stabilizer usually has a large solubility and good dispersibility in PVC resin powder, and its effect on transparency is much smaller than that of powder stabilizer. However, liquid stabilizers have a greater risk of precipitation. A suitable solvent needs to be selected. Liquid stabilizers are usually used in PVC products with a total plasticizer content greater than 10~20phr. Metal soaps and additives have greater solubility in solvents; low volatility, high flash point, low viscosity, colorless or light color, no odor, non-toxic or low toxicity. For example, liquid paraffin, white oil, diesel, spindle oil and other mineral oils are used as solvents. It is worth noting that some solvents contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. According to Section 30 of the German Food and Commodity Law (LMBG), PAHThe maximum allowable limit for the total amount is 10 mg/kg (10 PPM), and the maximum allowable limit for BaP benzo(a)pyrene is 1 mg/kg (1 PPM). Some EU countries are also preparing to adopt this standard. The auxiliary stabilizer itself does not have thermal stabilization function, but it can improve the stabilization efficiency. Because there is no single component of cadmium for auxiliary, the main auxiliary substances such as phosphites, epoxy compounds, phenolic antioxidants, β-diketones, etc. are particularly important. |
