How to use coix seed to remove dampness

How to use coix seed to remove dampness

Job's tears is a very common food in people's lives. It has a very good effect on nutritional supplementation of the human body and the treatment of some diseases. The biggest effect of coix seed is dehumidification. But usually, we achieve the purpose of removing dampness by cooking and eating porridge. Often this effect is not very obvious. So how should we use coix seed to remove dampness? . Here are some effective ways to use coix seed to remove dampness. I hope this can help everyone.

How to self-diagnose whether there is dampness in the body:

1. When you wake up - see how you feel; if you feel particularly tired, dizzy, and lack energy when you wake up every morning, or as if you are wearing wet clothes, your whole body does not feel refreshed, and you are too lazy to move, then you can be sure that there is dampness in your body.

2. When going to the toilet - look at the stool; after going to the toilet in the morning, you can observe the stool. Is it stuck to the toilet? Even a tank of water can't flush it away. If it is inconvenient to observe the toilet, you can also observe the toilet paper. Normally, one or two pieces of paper are enough. If three or five pieces of paper cannot be wiped clean after repeated wiping, it also means that there is moisture in the body. The color and shape of the stool can also help determine whether there is dampness in the body. Normal stools are golden yellow and banana-shaped, but few people have this healthy stool nowadays. When there is dampness in the body, the stool will be blue in color, loose and soft without any shape, and there will always be a feeling of incomplete excretion. Over time, the toxins produced by stool retention accumulate in the body, causing a variety of diseases.

3. When washing - look at the tongue coating; we usually start washing after going to the toilet. Before brushing our teeth, we might as well take a few seconds to look at our tongue in the mirror. “The tongue is the sprout of the heart and the external sign of the spleen.” The tongue can sensitively reflect our physical condition. A healthy tongue is pale pink and moist, with a thin, white and clear layer of tongue coating on the surface, with moderate dryness and wetness, neither slippery nor dry. If the tongue does not meet these indicators, it means that there is a problem with the body's functions. If the tongue coating is white and thick, and looks smooth and moist, it means that there is cold in the body; if the tongue coating is rough or very thick, yellow and greasy, it means that there is damp heat in the body; if the tongue is red and has no coating, it means that the body is already hot to a certain degree and has damaged the yin.

It only takes two "medicines" to remove moisture from the body

1. These two medicines can be drunk as tea, eaten as meals, and can solve big problems. One is coix seed and the other is red bean. There is no need to follow any specific ratio for these two ingredients. Just grab a handful each time, wash them clean, put them in a pot, add water and boil them. After boiling, you will get barley and red bean porridge, a great product for removing dampness and strengthening the spleen.

2. One advantage of barley and red bean porridge is that it will not become sticky and thick no matter how long it is cooked. There will always be cooked red beans and barley at the bottom, and a light red soup on top. Most of the effective ingredients of barley and red beans are in the soup. When cooking porridge, add more water. The soup will be enough for us to drink for half a day, and can be used as tea.

3. Never add rice into the soup: because rice grows in water, it contains moisture, which is sticky, so the rice will become thick once it is boiled. Red beans and coix seeds can both remove dampness, and they do not contain moisture themselves, so no matter how they are boiled, the soup will not be thick and will instead be very clear. Traditional Chinese medicine uses its clear nature to remove moisture from the human body. Once rice is added, it is equivalent to adding moisture, so the whole porridge becomes thick. Although the taste may be better, it is not good for health. Because of that handful of rice, all the red beans and coix seeds are wasted and have no effect.

Precautions

We can add or subtract ingredients from the red bean and barley soup according to our own needs. It can relieve heat.
