What are the types of lung cancer? Divided into these five types

Lung cancer can be divided into four types: squamous cell carcinoma, central lung cancer, adenocarcinoma, and alveolar cell carcinoma. Different types have different degrees of malignancy and harmfulness.

1. Squamous cell carcinoma <br/>Squamous cell carcinoma, also known as lung squamous cell carcinoma, accounts for about 50% of lung cancer incidence. Squamous cell carcinoma originates from the bronchi, develops slowly, has a long course of disease, and is highly sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
2. Central lung cancer <br/>Based on the detailed classification of tissue cell morphology, it can be divided into oatmeal cells, large cells, and small round cells. Oatmeal cells are more common. This type of lung cancer is also called undifferentiated cancer. It is highly malignant and progresses rapidly. In the early and middle stages, extensive lymphatic or blood metastasis may occur, and the prognosis is poor.
3. Adenocarcinoma <br/>Adenocarcinoma is more common in young women and originates from the bronchial mucosal epithelium. It is also called peripheral lung cancer. There are no obvious symptoms in the early stage of the disease. Many patients are diagnosed by chest X-ray examination. This type of lung cancer grows slowly and may metastasize in the early stage.
4. Alveolar cell carcinoma <br/>The incidence of alveolar cell carcinoma is low. It mainly originates from the bronchial mucosal epithelium, has a high degree of deterioration, and grows slowly. Lymph or blood metastasis may occur in the late stage. Surgical resection has a good effect.
