How to treat warts on feet

How to treat warts on feet

We all know that people's feet are particularly prone to skin diseases because they are often in shoes and sweat when walking. Athlete's foot and flat warts are common skin diseases on the feet. After having warts on the feet, people often feel itchy on the soles of their feet. Warts are also a highly contagious skin disease. If not treated, the area of the disease is likely to become larger and larger. So how to treat warts on the feet?

Flat warts that occur on the soles of the feet are called plantar warts. Initially, it appears as a shiny papule the size of a hat pin, which gradually increases to the size of a soybean or larger. Due to compression, a gray or brown callus-like plaque is formed. The plaque is rough, uneven, round, and has clear boundaries. There are often small black spots scattered on the surface. Generally, there is no feeling, no pain, and no itching. However, a very small number of people may experience an itchy feeling.

Flat warts are a virus. Since viruses are difficult to treat in the medical field, the cure rate of flat warts is very low both at home and abroad, only about 25%, and the average treatment time is about 3 months.

At present, the medical community is unable to directly kill the flat warts virus, so the methods of treating flat warts are to enhance the body's immune function to suppress and eliminate flat warts. This is also the fundamental reason why the cure rate is not high.

There are several treatments for flat warts:

(1) Take Chinese medicine orally. Since the drug's efficacy is greatly lost after being taken orally and absorbed into the internal organs before reaching the skin, this oral Chinese medicine uses the principle of strengthening the body and eliminating evil, rather than directly killing the virus, so the effect is not ideal. In addition, it must be taken continuously for dozens of days, which is difficult for ordinary people to persist.

(2) Injection of hormone transfer factor. Western medicine treats flat warts mainly by injecting transfer factor and other hormones to enhance the body's immune function. Since this indirect treatment cannot directly kill the flat warts virus, the cure rate is very low, especially for older people.

(3) Use laser removal method. Since the flat wart virus is under the epidermis, the laser can only remove the surface flat wart particles, but the subcutaneous virus is not eliminated, so it is impossible to play a fundamental therapeutic role. Even if it is eliminated at the time, the flat warts will often reappear after a few months.
