Scope of application: Less obstruction

Necessary tools: 95% alcohol, a clean cup and a metal container with a smooth bottom

Working principle: Use a medium-strength organic solvent to dissolve the ink particles one by one. Note that you must use 95% concentration of organic solvent alcohol, otherwise it will be counterproductive.

Solution: First find a metal container with a smooth bottom, add a small amount of 95% concentration of organic solvent alcohol into the container, the alcohol should just cover the stainless steel edge of the print head (be careful not to let the PCB board contact with the alcohol). The soaking time generally ranges from 2 hours to 4 days. Its advantages are good cleaning effect and not easy to cause physical damage to the print head; its disadvantages are that it takes a long time and is difficult to solve the user's urgent needs.

Scope of application: Severe obstruction

Necessary tools: 95% alcohol, a clean cup, a disposable syringe, and a disposable infusion set.

Working principle: Use the pressure generated by the siphon effect of the syringe to inject alcohol, an organic solvent, into the print head, thereby achieving the effect of cleaning the dried ink head.

Solution: Use the plastic tube or needle part of a disposable infusion set to make the interface between the syringe and the ink supply port of the print head (the joint must be tight). After the interface is made, place the head of the print head in 95% organic solvent alcohol, and suck the alcohol into the syringe needle through the print head (note that it can only be inhaled) and inhale several times. Its advantage is good cleaning effect. Generally, a print head that is heavily clogged can be cleaned using this method.

3. Distilled water cleaning method

Scope of application: Severe obstruction

Necessary tools: a decoded empty ink cartridge, a disposable syringe and a bottle of medical distilled water (pure water can also be used instead).

Working principle: It is similar to the working principle of pressure cleaning, so there is no need to elaborate on it here.

Solution: First prepare a decoded empty ink cartridge, a disposable syringe and a bottle of medical distilled water. Use the pressure generated by the siphon effect of the syringe to suck the distilled water into the ink cartridge through the vent of the ink cartridge. After a while, suck out the injected distilled water with the syringe. Repeat this process several times to clean the remaining ink in the ink cartridge.

Scope of application: The most severe obstruction

Working principle: Use ultrasonic cleaning machine to generate strong ultrasonic waves to make water molecules vibrate violently, break up tiny dry ink particles and dissolve them in water, thus achieving the purpose of cleaning.

Solution: Gently place the inkjet print head into the cleaning machine, add pure water or special print head cleaning fluid. The pure water or special print head cleaning fluid should be enough to just cover the stainless steel edging of the print head (be careful not to let the PCB board contact the pure water or special cleaning fluid). Turn on the machine for 10 to 15 hours and it can be quickly cleaned. Its advantages are that the cleaning effect is very ideal, and the print head that has been blocked for many years can be cleaned, and the operation is also very simple; its disadvantages are that the maintenance cost is high and the price is relatively expensive.
