Moths are a type of flying insect that many people hate. Nowadays, if there are flying insects in the room, it will have a great impact on people's mood. There are many types of moths, such as rice moths and moth midges, which are relatively common moths. Different types of moths need to be removed by different methods to completely solve the moth problem. Below, I will introduce to you in detail how to remove moths.
Rice moths are generally slender and brown in color. When you find rice moths, you cannot just ignore them, but need to find the source in time. Bags of rice, noodles, grains and dried fruits that have been left at home for a long time are the key targets for inspection. Once insect eggs or larvae are found in the grain, it is best not to expose it to the sun, so as to prevent the rice from becoming brittle and losing nutrition and taste. You can spread newspaper, pour out the grain in the bag and sort it, pick out the rice, flour, beans and dried fruits with insect holes and lumps and discard them. If there are too many moth larvae or eggs in the grain, it means that the grain has deteriorated and is not suitable for consumption. The "source of pollution" should be cleaned out of the home as soon as possible. Cloth bags and plastic bags are not suitable for long-term holding and storage of food. You can find some dry, sealed containers for repacking, such as plastic buckets with lids, beverage bottles, etc. After packaging, you can put the plastic buckets and beverage bottles in the freezer of the refrigerator and take them out after 24 hours to prevent insects. When restoring, putting some peppercorns and garlic in the container can also have a certain insect repellent effect.
The moth midge is also a common moth in the home. Unlike the rice moth, it has a rounder body and a black body. It often appears in toilets, kitchens, etc. The larvae of midges live in sewers, especially in the S-bends and U-shaped bends under the floor drains in kitchens and bathrooms. After they emerge as adults, they crawl out of the floor drains and land on nearby walls. To kill moth larvae, you can boil a pot of water and pour some into the floor drain. Do this once every other day and repeat it several times. If you want to completely prevent the production of moths and midges, it is best to clean the gutters and floor drains regularly, and pay special attention to whether there is gel-like decaying matter at the edge of the gutter mouth, as these decaying matters are the food source for moth and midge larvae. Check and thoroughly clean counters, stoves, and other floors to remove any food debris. Damp rags and mops are also items that moths and midges like to lay eggs and hatch. Remember to wash and dry them after use and put them back in place.
1. Carefully check the sewage facilities and pipes to prevent sewage leakage, which may cause moth larvae to emerge and then become moths. 2. Prevent the existence of holes larger than 2mm, which moths can crawl into directly. 3. Fasten the round cover on the floor drain to prevent moths from flying out directly. 4. Kill a small number of moths in the bathroom with spray. |
