What are the head diseases

The brain is a very important part of our body, but many people don’t know what diseases the head may suffer from and don’t know how to protect their brains. There are many kinds of head diseases, which can be divided into many categories. As a doctor who is not a brain specialist, it is difficult for me to know what head diseases there are. If you really want to understand head diseases, you can try reading the article below, which I guess will not disappoint you.

1. What are brain diseases?

Brain diseases can generally be divided into three categories:

1. Hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease : (1) Cerebral hemorrhage: It is the most common hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease. The main causes are hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, cerebral infarction, brain tumor, blood disease, arteritis, vascular malformation, etc. Sometimes it can also be caused by the use of anticoagulants or thrombolytic drugs. (2) Subarachnoid hemorrhage: mostly caused by congenital abnormalities of cerebral blood vessels. (3) Extradural and subdural hemorrhage: mostly caused by trauma.

2. Ischemic cerebrovascular disease : (1) Cerebral infarction: It is the most common ischemic cerebrovascular disease, including cerebral thrombosis, cerebral embolism, lacunar cerebral infarction, etc. caused by various reasons. (2) Transient ischemic attack (TIA, mini stroke): A transient attack of cerebral ischemia can completely recover to normal within 24 hours, but those who suffer repeated attacks may have cerebral infarction.

3. Others : cerebral arteriosclerosis, various cerebral arteritis, cerebral arterial ischemic syndrome, intracranial venous sinus or vein thrombosis, etc.

The above-mentioned cerebrovascular diseases have different causes and pathogenesis. There are great differences in their clinical manifestations, treatment principles and prognosis.

2. Symptoms of Brain Disease

It may vary, but the following symptoms indicate a possible brain disease, such as a tumor > brain tumor, etc.

1. Waking up in pain at night, still having a headache when waking up in the morning, and coughing makes the headache worse.

2. Convulsions.

3. Behavioral changes. Feeling dizzy after standing for a while, mental fatigue, mental dullness, difficulty concentrating, and memory difficulties Additional questions: If the child is suspected of having symptoms of brain disease, the doctor should arrange for him to be hospitalized for examination.
