What do meridians in traditional Chinese medicine refer to

Many health clubs now offer Chinese medicine weight loss methods, using acupuncture or massage of the body's acupoints to achieve the effect of weight loss. Many acupoints on the human body have a great impact on the body. For example, regularly massaging the stomach meridian can make your face rosy, with a hint of red in the white, and your complexion look very good. Regularly massaging the pericardium meridian can allow you to eat as much as you want without gaining weight, and it can also promote blood circulation in the body, thereby achieving the effect of losing weight.

TCM meridian conditioning is based on TCM meridian theory and the efficacy of TCM meridians and acupoints, using acupuncture, manipulation, massage, and qigong to relax the meridians, connect yin and yang, and ultimately expel evil spirits and cure diseases, restoring the body to a harmonious state of yin and yang.

Overview

The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine states: "The meridians are the reason why people are born, the reason why diseases occur, the reason why people are cured, and the reason why diseases arise." It also has the characteristics of "determining life and death, treating all kinds of diseases, and adjusting deficiency and excess, and they must be unobstructed."

Features

The differences between Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian conditioning therapy and ordinary therapies are: first, in terms of technique, ordinary foot washing and massage therapy can only reach the skin, veins, and flesh, while meridian therapy can, on this basis, penetrate deeper into the tendons and bones; second, in terms of efficacy, ordinary massage can only achieve a relaxation effect, while meridian therapy can achieve a medical effect, curing diseases if they exist and preventing diseases if they do not.

Pericardium Meridian: Keeps you from getting fat

Starting from the Tianchi point outside the nipple and reaching the tip of the middle finger is the pericardium meridian. The starting point of the pericardium meridian is on the outside of the heart, wrapped in a layer. When pathogens enter, the pericardium blocks the heart and plays a certain protective role.

Regularly tapping the pericardium meridian not only improves heart function and makes your breathing and blood flow more powerful, but also has a certain fat-reducing effect.

Heart Sutra: The most accurate self-examination method

The Heart Meridian starts at the armpit and ends at the tip of the little finger, running through the inside of our upper arm. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the Heart Meridian can reveal the most accurate health indicators of our body and is a health self-test method that must be tried.

The specific method is very simple: first stretch our hands forward, after about 15 seconds, put them down diagonally, and after another 10 seconds, raise your arms vertically as high as possible. If your blood can flow down quickly and the protruding veins begin to disappear, it means your indicators are normal and you don’t have to worry about your health. Otherwise, you need to pay attention.

Small Intestine Meridian: Having Slender Arms

The small intestine starts from the Qingming point half an inch inside the corner of the eye, passes through the cheek and neck, goes through the arm, and ends at the tip of the little finger. The function of the small intestine is digestion and absorption. If its function is weakened, loose flesh will appear in the arms.

If you want to have slender arms, you need to massage the small intestine meridian frequently. The specific method is very simple. Raise your hand and pinch the inside of your arm with your fingertips. It is best if there is a slight pain.

Large Intestine Meridian: Helps you detoxify

The large intestine meridian starts from the sides of the nose, reaches the tip of the index finger, and also runs through the entire arm. Regularly massaging the large intestine meridian can increase our digestive ability and have a good detoxification effect.

The best time for massage is between 5 and 7 in the morning. Therefore, it is recommended that you make good use of your time, which will help eliminate toxins accumulated at night.

San Jiao Meridian: Improve your immunity

The San Jiao meridian starts at the Sizhukong point at the corner of the eye and reaches between the ring finger. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the triple burner meridian is equivalent to the lymphatic system. Regularly tapping the triple burner meridian can improve the body's immunity.

The suitable massage time is from 21:00 to 23:00. It is recommended that you drink less water before tapping, otherwise your eyes may become swollen the next day.

Lung Meridian: Keeps your skin from getting dry

Draw a straight line from the depression of the shoulder blade along the inner side of the arm to the inner side of the thumb, which is the lung meridian of the human body. "The lungs control the skin and hair." While frequently tapping the lung meridian, ensure that you drink at least 1500 ml of water every day. This will allow water to flow through the lung meridian to the dermis, so that your skin will no longer be dry!

When tapping the lung meridian, you can use your mid-air fist to tap from the upper arm to above the wrist. Since the palm area is small, it is recommended that you press with the thumb of the other hand from the wrist to the inside of the thumb to ensure that the acupoint is subjected to sufficient force.

Stomach Meridian: Makes your complexion fair and rosy

The stomach meridian starts from under the collarbone, along the breasts, through the abdomen, to the front of the legs, and ends between the fourth toes. The blood supply to the face mainly depends on the stomach meridian. The glossiness of the face and the elasticity of the skin are related to the blood supply of the stomach meridian.

If wrinkles suddenly appear on your face, it may be caused by deficiency of Qi and blood in the stomach meridian. The best time to tap the stomach meridian is from 7 to 9 in the morning. If you persist in tapping, you will find that your face will become white and rosy, and you will not look too haggard even if you stay up late!
