Are bamboo charcoal bags useful?

Bamboo charcoal bags have a certain adsorption effect. They can remove some toxic substances in the air. If you buy a new car, you can put the bamboo charcoal bag in the car. Bamboo charcoal bags can also be used in newly renovated houses. They have a certain effect, but you must also understand the precautions when using bamboo charcoal bags, because if the temperature is relatively high, some adsorbed toxic substances may evaporate again.

Are bamboo charcoal bags useful?

When the concentration and temperature are determined, its adsorption and desorption reach an equilibrium. When the concentration outside decreases, the balance is broken and the substances originally adsorbed will be released.

In other words, the formaldehyde adsorbed in the bamboo charcoal is actually not stable and may escape from the bamboo charcoal at any time.

When the ambient temperature when bamboo charcoal absorbed formaldehyde was raised to 35°C, it was found that its adsorption capacity weakened at high temperature. Every 100 grams of bamboo charcoal can absorb 410 mg of formaldehyde.

From this, it can be seen that under high temperature conditions in summer, the ability of bamboo charcoal to adsorb formaldehyde is significantly reduced, while the rate of releasing formaldehyde is greatly increased.

According to Huang Shaodan, a doctor from the Building Environment Testing Center of Tsinghua University, formaldehyde molecules are more active at high temperatures, so they can easily escape from the adsorption of activated carbon. Activated carbon has a strong ability to adsorb formaldehyde at low temperatures, but is relatively weak at high temperatures.

Therefore, when using bamboo charcoal, you should avoid placing it in a place with too high temperature to avoid reducing its adsorption effect.

For bamboo charcoal that has been saturated with adsorption, you can put it in the sun to dry or put it in a well-ventilated place and blow it with a hair dryer to use high temperature to regenerate the activated carbon, so that its adsorption capacity can be restored.

Product Features

1. Purify the air: It can absorb harmful substances such as formaldehyde, benzene, TVOC, sulfur dioxide, etc. released by indoor artificial boards, coatings, paints, adhesives, insect repellents, etc. At the same time, it releases natural phytoncides, making the air indoors and in the car fresh and pleasant. Bamboo charcoal is also rightfully called an "air purifier that doesn't require electricity."

2. Release natural minerals: When bamboo grows, it absorbs minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, and aluminum from the soil. After high-temperature carbonization, these minerals are attached to the porous surface of bamboo charcoal.

3. Generate negative ions: Negative ions have a strong dust-collecting effect, reducing the irritation of the respiratory tract by dust and other objects, and at the same time can promote the movement of the villi tissue in the respiratory tract, preventing the human body from being polluted, irritated and harmed by foreign objects; it can increase lung capacity, smooth the tension of muscles, promote the normalization of respiratory mucus secretion, reduce irritation reactions, and improve the ventilation function of the lungs; after being absorbed by the human body, negative ions can regulate the excitement state of the nerve center, stimulate the expansion of peripheral blood vessels, relieve arterial vascular spasms, lower blood pressure, and have a certain effect on the recovery of hypertension and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; in addition, negative ions can calm the mind, eliminate fatigue, promote sleep, increase appetite, promote blood circulation, help gastrointestinal contraction and movement, facilitate digestion, and reduce aging.

4. Release far infrared rays: Bamboo charcoal releases far infrared rays known as the "ray of life", with a wavelength between 8 and 14 microns. Far infrared rays can promote metabolism, increase the body's immunity and healing ability, and have certain auxiliary therapeutic effects on arthritis, insomnia, etc.

5. Blocking electromagnetic waves: Bamboo charcoal can be used as a shielding material mainly because bamboo charcoal will conduct electricity like metal at a certain temperature, and use the principle of metal reflecting electromagnetic waves to provide relative protection. At the same time, the porous structure of bamboo charcoal is used to absorb harmful electromagnetic waves and convert them into heat energy to dissipate, thus avoiding secondary pollution. Placing some bamboo charcoal around electrical appliances such as televisions and computers can effectively block electromagnetic waves and promote human health.
