Is hating children a mental illness?

Children are very likable because most of them are very cute. However, some people hate children and think that children are very naughty, difficult to discipline and communicate with, and are a very troublesome group. This mentality of hating children is very common in life and is not an isolated case. So, is hating children a mental illness? Let’s take a look at the explanation below.

It is normal to have such thoughts. Many minors will feel disgusted with children younger than themselves (of course there are also adults who don't like children). This is just a very natural stage in the growth process of a person. It doesn't make much sense to know why you feel disgusted. Just know that it is completely normal and there is nothing wrong with you.

As long as it does not affect your life, it is normal and not a psychological problem. Hating children may be because you hate your childish and willful self in the past and you still haven't fully accepted yourself, so you project this hatred onto other children. This self-dislike may come from your parents' overly harsh criticism of you when you were a child, which made you lose your self-identity.

1. Have your own ideas about raising children, and these ideas require you to be more mature and have a certain level of financial ability; be afraid of repeating your past mistakes.

2. Afraid of children and seeing the evil side of children. The narcissism, selfishness and self-centeredness of babies are terrifying to some people. But in fact, this is the instinct of children, because their world only consists of their parents and the people around them. They will feel that they are the center of the world and can be controlled/out of control when they are young.

Some people like children but don't have the ability to give birth to them. Some people don't like children but love them after giving birth. If a woman does not like or love her own child after giving birth, it must be due to her inner psychological reasons and past experiences. It is an instinct to like one's own children. If this instinct is destroyed or deprived, she needs psychological assistance as soon as possible, which is good for her inner nourishment and the growth of her child.
