Deciduous shrub or small tree, 3 meters high. The branches are spreading and the winter buds are exposed. The leaves are opposite, ovate to ovate-elliptical, dark green on the surface, covered with stellate short hairs on the back, and have serrated margins. It blooms in summer, and the flowers are gathered into large spherical cymes at the top of the branches, with white neutral flowers on the edges. The flowering period is April-May, the flower diameter is 18-20 cm, and all flowers are sterile. The flowers are green at first, then turn white and have a delicate fragrance. Flowers: The umbels are terminal, spherical, densely florid, white, blue or pink, and almost all are asexual. Each flower has 4 to 5 petal-like sepals; 4 to 5 small petals, less than 10 stamens, extremely degenerate pistils, and 2 to 3 styles. Flowering period: May to July.

Symptoms of poisoning: Typical symptoms of poisoning include skin pain, vomiting, weakness and sweating. In severe cases, coma, convulsions and blood circulation collapse may occur. Ingestion of stems and leaves may cause hernia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, shortness of breath, blood in the stool, etc.
