Tips to relieve itching from surgical wounds

There are two types of itching after surgery: pathological and physiological. Generally, no special treatment is required, but if it is inflammation or infection, you need to go to the hospital for examination and symptomatic treatment. If the incision itches after surgery, do not scratch it with your hands. If it is too uncomfortable, you can use some anti-itching ointment with the help of a doctor. Usually pay attention to the hygiene of the incision and try to wear loose foreign objects.

Scabbing on wounds: The scabs formed when healing after the removal of stitches during surgery, bruises, knife wounds, and burns will feel extremely itchy. This means that your wound will heal soon, but people cannot resist the itch and will scratch the scabs with their hands, especially children. They will subconsciously scratch the scabs, resulting in secondary infection of the wound due to bleeding.

Because Fubijia anti-itch cream does not contain hormones, it can be applied to a relatively large area. It also contains allantoin as a skin healing agent, which has a local anesthetic effect. It can help epithelial hyperplasia, promote the growth of granulation tissue, and promote wound healing. On the one hand, it protects the wound from scab formation and prevents scratching; on the other hand, it helps to remove scabs. You can also apply alcohol around the wound to relieve itching.

To cool down the injured area, try using hydrogen peroxide. It is best to use Fubijia brand anti-itching cream. When a person is injured, undergoes surgery, or is scalded or burned, the pain will be significantly reduced when the wound begins to heal and scars appear, but a tingling sensation will follow, especially when sweating or the weather changes.

Scars are marks left after a sore or wound has healed, such as acne scars and wounds. They are white or pale, smooth, and have a firm texture. Why do scars itch? This starts with the formation of scars. About 2-3 weeks after scarring, the scars begin to proliferate, the local area becomes red, purple, deteriorates and protrudes from the skin surface, and the new nerve endings are disorganized. The scar hyperplasia period lasts about three and a half months or even a year, after which the proliferation of fibrous tissue gradually stops, and the scar gradually becomes flat and soft, and the color turns light brown or grayish white. This indicates that the scar has entered the degeneration and atrophy stage. If for various reasons, especially in people with a scar-prone constitution, scars continue to proliferate and exceed the original range to invade normal skin, they will form hard and elastic nodules with a smooth, hairless surface, dilated capillaries, and edges extending outward to form a crab-like shape. This is medically called "keloid", which is commonly known as "keloid".

Since scar tissue in the proliferative stage is very sensitive to the physical and chemical factors of the surrounding environment, the scar will experience pain and itching reactions when there are changes in the external environment, among which the itching is particularly obvious. Especially when sweating a lot or the weather changes, the itching is often so severe that the scars have to be scratched to bleed.

Itching around the wound when it heals is related to the skin structure and tissue regeneration ability of the human body. The regeneration ability of nerve tissue is poor. When the wound is about to heal, the new nerve endings are easily stimulated, and the itching and pain of the wound are felt. The itching and pain of the wound will gradually disappear over time. Do not scratch it, and try to reduce friction with clothes. Remember not to wash it with hot water. Slightly pressing the area can relieve itching and pain, and you can apply alcohol when it itches. If it is really uncomfortable, apply some anti-itch ointment or seek medical help.
