The benefits of moxibustion on the waist

Many people do moxibustion on the waist because there are many acupoints on the waist. For some patients with low back pain, moxibustion on the waist can also treat low back pain. Some acupoints on the waist can also remove dampness and coldness from the human body. It not only plays a role of massage, but also can maintain the body. Especially for women, moxibustion on the waist can also warm the uterus. So what are the benefits of moxibustion on the waist?

The advantages and disadvantages of moxibustion:

1. Benefits: Moxibustion can dredge meridians, remove cold and dampness, and regulate the body.

2. Disadvantages: Moxibustion can cause sore throat or inflammation, and even rashes or blisters. After moxibustion, you should eat a light diet and drink more warm water.

Additional information:

Moxibustion originated in ancient China. Because its mechanism of action is similar to that of acupuncture and it has a complementary therapeutic effect with acupuncture, acupuncture and moxibustion are usually used together, hence the name acupuncture. Acupuncture has a profound impact on treating diseases both at home and abroad, but when modern people talk about acupuncture, most of the time they only refer to acupuncture, and rarely include moxibustion.

Moxibustion is a treatment method that uses the heat generated by moxibustion materials made of mugwort to stimulate acupuncture points or specific parts of the body surface, adjusts the disordered physiological and biochemical functions of the human body by stimulating the activity of meridian qi, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing and curing diseases.

Benefits of moxibustion:

1. Harmonize Yin and Yang. The balance of yin and yang in the human body is the root of the occurrence and development of disease. The tonifying and purging effects of moxibustion therapy are used to achieve the effect of harmonizing yin and yang.

2Warm and unclog the meridians, and dispel cold evil. Mugwort is warm in nature and when burned and used for fumigation, the heat can penetrate deep into the muscle layer, warming the qi and promoting blood circulation. Moxibustion has the effects of warming and unblocking meridians, dispelling cold and dampness, regulating qi and blood, relieving numbness and relieving pain.

3. Promote qi and blood circulation, eliminate blood stasis and disperse nodules. When Qi encounters heat, it flows; when it encounters cold, it condenses; when Qi warms, blood flows. Moxibustion is a warm stimulation that can coordinate Qi and blood, harmonize the Ying and Wei systems, and make the blood vessels smooth, thereby promoting Qi and blood circulation, removing blood stasis and dispersing nodules.

4Warm the Yang and replenish the deficiency, tonify the middle and benefit the Qi.

5. Restore Yang and rescue the adverse situation.

6. Prevent diseases, maintain health, strengthen the body and prolong life.

Disadvantages of moxibustion:

1. After the moxibustion device is lit, it should not be left hanging in the air for too long to avoid the temperature being too high when it touches the skin, causing burns. If it is left hanging in the air for too long, you can rub the temperature of the moxibustion device with your palm to lower it before continuing to use it. The moxibustion device should be knocked out every once in a while.

2 After using two to three moxibustion sticks, moxibustion oil stains will form at the control port of the moxibustion device, which should be cleaned with a brush to keep the moxibustion sticks unobstructed.

3. Do not wash your hands or take a bath with cold water within half an hour of moxibustion.

4. After moxibustion, drink more warm water than usual (never drink cold or ice water)

5. Do not warm moxibustion within one hour after a meal
