Lipstick paste sweating phenomenon

Lipstick paste sweating phenomenon

Lipstick is a common cosmetic product for modern women and a common item needed for work and life. There are many types of lipsticks, and the prices vary greatly depending on the brand and materials. Lipstick is relatively small in size, convenient to carry and can be used at any time, but many lipstick users will find that their lipstick will "sweat" every summer. Is this normal?

In the hot summer, we sometimes find a layer of something like water droplets on the surface of lipstick or lip gloss, commonly known as lipstick "sweating". This happens whether you are a big brand or a DIY customer. Many friends worry that their lipstick has deteriorated and cannot be used anymore. In fact, this worry is unnecessary.

Reasons for lipstick sweating:

When the temperature is high, the oily components of lipstick will seep out of the surface of the paste; when the temperature is low, the oil will return to the paste and leave traces on the surface of the paste, commonly known as "sweating" or "beading". This situation will not cause the lipstick to deteriorate or affect its use.

In addition to sweating, there is another situation, that is, using lipstick when the temperature is too high, because the paste becomes soft and may become crooked or even broken.

Solution:

Solution to the sweating problem: Put your lipstick or lip balm in the refrigerator. It will recover after the temperature drops and you can use it normally.

If the lipstick becomes crooked, use a cotton swab or wear gloves to gently straighten it and put it in the refrigerator.

If the lipstick breaks, you can wear gloves (or use a tissue) to pick up the broken part, and use a lighter to heat it. Be careful not to let the fire source directly contact the paste. Just melt it slightly with heat at a distance of 2 cm. Then put it back to the original place, use fire to slightly melt the seam, fix it with your hands for a while, and then put it in the refrigerator.

When repairing something that is sweating, crooked, or broken, place it in the freezer for ten minutes to half an hour.

Summer lipstick daily use:

In summer, avoid placing lipstick in direct sunlight and try to avoid high temperatures, especially in a car. It is best to store in a cool place.

For lipsticks that are not often used, they can be placed in the refrigerator's freezer, because the temperature in the refrigerator generally does not drop below zero degrees, which is suitable for storing lipsticks without causing damage.
