Nails turn yellow after removing nail polish

Many girls who love beauty will never forget the manicure project. But do you know that nails are the peripheral nerves of our liver? If we do manicures frequently, it will cause some damage to our liver. Of course, these damages are minimal. What we can really see is that when the nail polish is removed, the originally healthy nails will become yellow and even dull.

Nail polish is a cosmetic that is widely used on fingernails or toenails. It has rich and bright colors and has both aesthetic and protective functions.

The ingredients of ordinary nail polish generally consist of two categories: one is the solid component, which mainly includes pigments, glitter, etc.; the other is the liquid solvent component, which mainly includes acetone, ethyl acetate, phthalates, formaldehyde, etc.

1. Damage to nails, causing them to turn yellow and dull

Nail polish has a variety of beautiful colors because a large amount of pigment ingredients are added, including various mineral pigments, artificial synthetic pigments, etc. These pigments slowly attach to the nails, causing them to become darker, yellower and duller. The darker the nail polish, the more obvious the pigmentation phenomenon is.

2. Dry, inflamed, and hangnails on the edges of your fingers

Failure to thoroughly disinfect manicure tools can indirectly cause fungal infections between the nails. On the other hand, the chemical solvent components in nail polish can irritate the skin around the nails, harden the keratin of the skin at the edge of the nails, and easily cause inflammation, dryness or hangnails when they come into contact with slight damage during the manicure process, and in severe cases even lead to paronychia.

3. The smell of nail polish is toxic and makes people dizzy

Some nail polishes contain a large amount of acetone and ethyl acetate. These two ingredients are highly volatile and produce a dizzying, irritating odor (their volume will expand 1000 times after volatilization), and are highly irritating to the mucous membranes and nervous system.

4. Makes nails brittle, fractured, and grows slowly

Continuously applying nail polish will hinder the "normal breathing" of the nails and damage the keratin cells of the nails. Due to the lack of oxygen caused by poor breathing and the chronic corrosion of nail polish, the nails will naturally become thinner, more easily broken and grow slowly.

5. The stronger the phototherapy armor is, the more damage it will cause

Phototherapy nails are also called gel nails. A certain proportion of photosensitive initiator nail liquid is dissolved in the resin nail powder. Under the irradiation of ultraviolet light, the gel produces a curing reaction on the nails. Therefore, phototherapy nail polish adheres to the nails more strongly than ordinary nail polish, and requires professional nail polish remover to remove, and then needs to be polished, which causes more damage to the nails and finger edges than ordinary nail polish.
