Pain on the outer side of the upper arm

Pain on the outer side of the upper arm

There are nerves in every part of the body, so pain occurs when something goes wrong. There are more muscles in the arms and thighs. When you feel pain on the outer side of your upper arm, it may be due to neuralgia or a series of symptoms that occur after strenuous exercise. You can relieve pain through massage, moxibustion, cold compress, hot compress, etc. If the pain is particularly severe, you can choose to seek medical attention.

1. For nerve compression symptoms caused by cervical spondylosis, take a cervical spine X-ray to observe whether the cervical intervertebral foramen is narrow, make a clear diagnosis, and perform appropriate physical therapy such as traction and massage in combination with drug therapy to improve local blood circulation.

2 For muscle spasms caused by cold or chronic fatigue, it is recommended to have acupuncture, physical therapy, or massage. Usually, prevent yourself from catching cold, don’t sit in one position for too long, and move around appropriately. It is recommended to apply hot compress, avoid strenuous activities, apply safflower oil externally, and take loxoprofen sodium tablets and Shujin Huoxue tablets orally. If the symptoms do not improve, it is recommended to see a doctor.

3 Lateral epicondylitis is also called tennis elbow. This condition is usually caused by repeated movement of the elbow joint. Even squeezing a towel may cause the pain to worsen. It is recommended that you pay attention to and reduce the activity of your elbow joint in the near future. You can apply some plaster locally, and take some blood-activating, collateral-activating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs orally, such as aceclofenac tablets or nimesulide dispersible tablets.

Although pain on the outer side of the upper arm may not seem to be a serious illness, we must pay attention to it, protect our muscles, reduce strenuous exercise, and do some appropriate rehabilitation exercises. When the pain is severe, it is best to go to the hospital for consultation. I believe the doctor can definitely help us.
