What is head madness?

Head wind disease is a disease with chronic paroxysmal headache as the main clinical manifestation. The disease has a long course, is difficult to cure, and is prone to relapse. This disease is often mentioned alongside headache in ancient Chinese medical works. It is equivalent to primary headaches such as tension headache, migraine, cluster headache, etc. in modern medicine.

1. Headache. Headache is one of the most common symptoms of migraine, especially in neurological diseases. It has a high incidence rate. Almost 90% of the population have experienced headache symptoms in their lives. Some people say that headache is the second most common disease after colds. In fact, headache is a symptom, not a disease. Headache is usually referred to as pain that is limited to the upper part of the head, including the area above the line connecting the brow arch, the upper edge of the helix and the external occipital protuberance. The age of onset is common in young, middle-aged and elderly people.

2. Hearing loss. The auditory nerves and centers at all levels in the sound transmission, sound perception and auditory conduction pathways of the auditory system will become pathological, causing auditory dysfunction and varying degrees of hearing loss, collectively known as deafness.

3. Fear of cold. Patients often feel cold and adding clothes is of no help. They are also accompanied by thirst, heavy breathing, constipation, dark urine, and a slippery and strong pulse.

4. Paralysis. Patients with migraine are prone to paralysis of their hands and feet. Paralysis in a broad sense refers to the decline in the functions of the body's cells, tissues and organs, and a state of not responding to stimuli; paralysis in a narrow sense refers to the decline in the functions of the nervous system, especially the motor nervous system. Motor paralysis can be divided into complete paralysis and incomplete paralysis according to the degree, and can be divided into central paralysis and peripheral paralysis according to the nature.

5. Neuralgia mainly refers to tension headache, functional headache and vascular neurosis headache, which are mostly caused by mental tension and anger. In traditional Chinese medicine, it belongs to the category of headache, cerebral wind and head wind, which are caused by deficiency of qi and blood, hyperactivity of liver yang and blood stasis.
