Electrolyte harms human body

Electrolyte harms human body

Electrolyte is a relatively broad term. It is a chemical substance that is used in many industries. There are also many differences in the electrolytes used in different industries. Generally speaking, there are two types of electrolytes, one is acidic and the other is alkaline. Electrolytes can cause some harm to human health, often causing headaches, dizziness, nausea and difficulty breathing.

Electrolyte harm to human body

There are two types of electrolytes: one is acidic electrolyte and the other is alkaline.

The main components of the former are sulfuric acid and the latter are sodium hydroxide, both of which are highly corrosive and their hazards are self-evident.

It mainly causes poisoning (accidental swallowing), chemical corrosion, and mechanical damage to human organs. Be careful when using it, try to avoid direct contact with the skin, and avoid getting it into the eyes or swallowing it accidentally, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.

We've seen the power of this stuff in chemistry labs. Especially concentrated sulfuric acid, which can instantly carbonize organic matter such as cellulose and glucose. Skin cells are also composed of a large number of organic compounds, so once contact occurs, the consequences will be serious.

Precautions

1. The polishing liquid will produce foam during electrolytic polishing in the early stage of its use, so the distance between the polishing liquid surface and the top of the polishing tank should not be ≤15cm.

2. Before the stainless steel workpiece enters the polishing tank, the moisture remaining on the surface of the workpiece should be removed as much as possible. Excessive moisture in the workpiece may cause serious pitting on the polishing surface, local corrosion, and cause the workpiece to be scrapped.

3. During the electrolytic polishing process, the iron and chromium elements contained in the stainless steel workpiece, which acts as the anode, are continuously converted into metal ions and dissolved into the polishing liquid without being deposited on the cathode surface. As the polishing process proceeds, the concentration of metal ions continues to increase. When it reaches a certain value, these metal ions continue to precipitate from the polishing liquid in the form of phosphates and sulfates and settle to the bottom of the polishing tank. For this reason, the polishing fluid must be filtered regularly to remove these solid precipitates.

4. During the operation of the polishing tank, in addition to the continuous consumption of phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid, water is lost due to evaporation and electrolysis. In addition, the high-viscosity polishing liquid is constantly entrained by the workpiece and lost, and the polishing liquid level continues to drop. Fresh polishing liquid and water need to be added to the polishing tank frequently.

5. Emissions after neutralization meet current environmental protection requirements.

6. This product is corrosive, do not get into eyes, mouth or contact with skin. If touched accidentally, rinse with clean water immediately. In severe cases, seek medical attention as if you have suffered a strong acid burn.

7. Store in a sealed and cool place for long-term effectiveness.
