The harm caused by electricity to the human body mainly comes from the electric current. The harm caused by electric current to the human body can be divided into two types, namely electric injury and electric shock; electric injury refers to local damage to the human body's surface caused by the thermal, chemical and mechanical effects of electric current, such as electric burns, electric branding, skin metallization, etc. Electric injury is generally not life-threatening if it is not very serious; electric shock refers to damage to the internal organs of the human body caused by electric current flowing through the human body. This is the most serious consequence of electric shock accidents. The vast majority of deaths from electric shock are caused by electric shock.

Under normal circumstances, AC below 15-20 mA and DC below 50 mA are safe for the human body, but if the duration is too long, even if the current is as small as 8-10 mA, it may be fatal. The human body resistance is generally around 1000 ohms. my country stipulates that the upper limit of AC safety voltage is 42 volts, and the upper limit of DC voltage is 72 volts. Our lighting voltage is 220 volts. If your hands and feet touch the indoor live wire (the same phase line), theoretically they are in the same phase and there will be no current. (But the ground is zero voltage, and the human body will form a loop with the ground and be electrocuted!) If your hands and feet touch the live wire and the neutral wire respectively, it will be 220V, and the human body consumes about 50W of electricity. That is a very dangerous voltage! There will be signs of burns.
