Difference between white cement and black cement

With the current trend of many people buying new houses, decoration has received more and more attention from people. Many people will purchase raw materials personally when decorating. At this time, they will find that although it is one material, there are many types. For example, there are white cement and black cement. In this way, they don’t know how to choose. In fact, white cement is suitable for home decoration because the strength of white cement is not high.

Difference between white cement and black cement

1. Black cement is widely used in engineering construction. It is ordinary Portland cement with black-gray color. Generally, this type of cement has high strength and strong bonding force, and the specific value varies depending on the grade.

2.White cement is the abbreviation of white Portland cement. White cement is mostly used for decorative purposes, and its manufacturing process is much better than that of ordinary cement. It is mainly used to fill the gaps between white tiles and is generally not used on walls because its strength is not high. White cement is a white hydraulic cementitious material made by grinding raw materials with appropriate ingredients into partially melted clinker with calcium silicate as the main component and low iron content and adding appropriate amount of gypsum.

3. Any white hydraulic cementitious material made by burning raw materials of appropriate composition until partially melted, adding appropriate amount of gypsum to the clinker with calcium silicate as the main component and low iron content, and grinding it into fine powder is called white silicate cement (abbreviated as white cement). When grinding cement, it is allowed to add limestone not exceeding 5% of the cement weight.

Black cement classification:

1. Classification of raw materials properties.

It is divided into natural cement, clinker cement (the product obtained by mixing limestone and clay according to the required ingredients and calcining them at a higher temperature is called clinker) and non-clinker cement (cement made by grinding industrial waste such as fly ash and blast furnace slag or natural volcanic ash with alkaline activators such as lime and water glass and gypsum in proportion and not calcining).

2. Classification of cement properties.

It is divided into fast-hardening cement (early-strength cement), low-heat cement, expansive cement, acid-resistant cement, refractory cement, etc.

3. Classification by usage.

It can be divided into oil well cement, dam cement, shotcrete cement, marine cement, etc.

4. Classification by chemical composition.

It is divided into silicate mud cement, aluminate water (high alumina cement), phosphate cement, etc., the latter is less used. Although there are many types of cement, more than 95% of them are Portland cement. Their chemical composition is simply changed according to the requirements of the project, or certain substances are added to adjust the performance when used.
