Thymosin and thymopentin are both medical drugs. Generally speaking, when our body has some diseases, most of the time we need to use these two drugs. If we do not use these drugs, there is no way to get good relief. The side effects of these two drugs are relatively small, especially thymopentin, which has almost no side effects. The main difference between these two drugs is that thymopentin does not require any skin test and can be used directly. 1. Thymopentin is synthesized by chemical engineering solid phase method (using GMP standard), with small molecular weight, no antibody, high purity, no need for skin test before use, no worries; while thymopentin is extracted from animal thymus (frozen extraction from piglet and calf thymus), with large molecular weight, repeated use can produce antibodies and allergies, so skin test should be done before use. It is not clear whether long-term use of animal "protein" will affect long-term immune mechanism and cause allergic disease. 2. Thymopentin has a clear biochemical molecular formula and meets the WHO standards. However, thymopentin is unstable, unclear, lacks standardization, and is not recognized abroad. 3. The content of thymopentin is stable and can be stored for three years at room temperature. The effective ingredient is 1mg/tube, which is 84-102 times that of thymopentin on the market. However, the content of thymopentin is unstable and lacks quality control standards. With different raw materials and different processes of manufacturers, the quality and effective therapeutic amount are different in each batch. Fakes have appeared, so the credibility is reduced. 4. Thymopentin has entered the international market. In Italy, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Africa, 1mg per vial has been used for human trials at a dose of 3500mg/kg. It is non-toxic and has no side effects. Continuous use of 1mg/vial, three times a week, for more than 2 years has significantly improved physical fitness. However, thymopentin is not allowed to enter the international market (there are more than 200 domestic manufacturers), and fatal cases have been found. 20mg/vial, 160mg/time intravenous injection has been used. Thymopentin is used for patients with malignant tumors who have undergone radiotherapy and chemotherapy, those with impaired immune function, the treatment of hepatitis B, major surgical operations and severe infections, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus erythematosus, type 2 diabetes, menopausal syndrome, and the elderly with weakened immune function. It should be used with caution in children and adolescents. Therefore, there are certain contraindications for these two medicines. If we want to use these two medicines, we must use them under the guidance of a doctor. Otherwise, it is likely to lead to accidents. And for some young children and teenagers, try not to use these two medicines to avoid some bad reactions. These two medicines are basically used to treat malignant tumors. |
