Molluscum contagiosum is caused by a viral infection and generally requires active and early treatment, otherwise it may gradually increase. Generally, laser treatment and cryotherapy are used. Of course, it can also be done by direct clamping after disinfection. Some patients may relapse. In order to prevent relapse, interferon injection or oral immunomodulators such as thymosin and transfer factor capsules are given. Try not to get the affected area wet after the operation. It usually takes 7-10 days to heal. 1. For routine local disinfection , clamp the wart with a pointed curved mosquito-type vascular forceps and squeeze out the cheese-like substance; or clamp the lesion with toothless forceps and squeeze out the cyst together with the cyst, then apply 2.5% iodine tincture or carbolic acid or trichloroacetic acid and apply pressure to stop bleeding. You can also use a blackhead extractor to squeeze out the small bodies of molluscum, and then apply 2.5% iodine tincture. 2. Can be frozen by electrolysis or liquid nitrogen . 3. Apply 2.5% iodine tincture to soft warts twice a day. It will heal in about half a month and is suitable for smaller lesions. 4. Applying 0.1% retinoic acid ethanol or 10% salicylic acid glacial acetic acid externally is also effective. 5. If the patient is sexually transmitted, he or she should be tested for other sexually transmitted diseases. His or her spouse or sexual partner should also be tested, and if he or she is already infected, he or she should also be treated. Other methods: (1) Under sterile conditions, prick the top of the molluscum contagiosum to reveal the cheese-like molluscum bodies, which can then be squeezed out gently with tweezers. Or you can directly use tweezers to clamp the wart and pull it out, then apply 2%-2.5% iodine tincture and apply pressure to stop the bleeding. If there are a large number of them, after disinfecting the skin lesions, puncture the molluscum and apply 5%-10% iodine tincture once a day. They will dry and fall off within 7 days. (2) Phthalide cream has antiviral effects and can be applied to the surface of warts 2 to 3 times a day for 3 weeks. If the molluscum warts cannot be eliminated after the treatment, they should be scraped or extracted. (3) 1% 5-fluorouracil solution is used externally 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks. When using, dip a cotton swab in a small amount of liquid medicine and apply it directly to the top of the wart. (4) 0.1% retinoic acid solution for external use, twice a day for 2 weeks. Be careful to protect the surrounding skin. |
