When the weather is hot and humid, and the seasons change, we will find that many black mold spots are easily bred on washed clothes, especially light-colored clothes. Once mold spots grow, it is really depressing. It feels a pity to throw away the clothes, but it’s also too much trouble to wash them. If you want to easily remove mildew spots on clothes, you need to master some good methods. For example, you can use the rice washing water soaking method or the mung bean sprout rubbing method, which are very effective ways to remove mold. 1. Bleach Dilute bleach with hot water, soak the clothes in it for an hour and they will become bleached. Pay attention to colored clothes and use special bleach, otherwise they will fade easily. 2. Rice water Use rice water to soak clothes with mildew stains for a longer time, because the protein in the rice water can absorb some mold, so it can remove lighter mildew stains. 3. Alcohol cleaning method Mildew stains on clothes can be exposed to sunlight first, then clean the mildew with a brush and then wash them off with alcohol. Note: Colored clothing will fade easily if exposed to the sun. Air dry colored clothing and lightly brush spots with a brush. For areas where mildew is still stubborn, you can apply some 5% alcohol solution, or scrub repeatedly with hot soapy water several times, and then just scrub as usual, and the mildew can be completely removed. 5. Mung Bean Sprouts Mildew stains on clothes can be exposed to sunlight first, then cleaned with a brush, and then washed with alcohol, or rubbed with mung bean sprouts. 6. Strong soapy water Soak the clothes contaminated with mildew in strong soapy water, take them out with the soapy water and place them in the sun for a while. Repeat this several times. After the mildew stains are removed, rinse them with clean water. 7. Soap alcohol solution + sodium hypochlorite / hydrogen peroxide Wipe with a 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap flakes to 250 grams of alcohol and stir evenly), then wipe with 3-5% sodium hypochlorite bleach or hydrogen peroxide, and finally wash. This method is only applicable to white clothes, and old stains can be soaked in the solution for 1 hour. 9. Oxygen laundry detergent Soak and wet wash moldy clothes in aerobic laundry detergent. Aerobic washing is a type of laundry detergent that can inactivate mold and remove the musty odor. It can greatly reduce the mold stains on fibers or greatly dilute their color. 10. Wipe with hot hydrogen peroxide If clothes are covered with mildew and are extremely difficult to clean, you should wipe them with a hot hydrogen peroxide solution at 35-60 degrees Celsius, and then rinse them with water. 11. Vinegar + milk Rubbing clothes in water with a small amount of vinegar and milk can remove the musty smell. 12. Dilute ammonia water + potassium permanganate solution + sodium bisulfite solution First apply dilute ammonia water to old mildew stains, leave it for a while, then apply potassium permanganate solution, and finally treat with sodium bisulfite solution and wash with water. |
