How to maintain patent leather shoes?

Clean cotton cloth:

Cotton cloth is used to wipe off the dust on leather shoes. This is a very important step in leather shoe maintenance. If the dust on the shoes is not removed first, the dust will react with the shoe polish to produce stains that are more difficult to remove, affecting the maintenance of the leather. Old socks and T-shirts that you don’t wear on a daily basis can be used as cotton cloth.

Last:

The shoe last is the molding mold of the shoe, also called the shoe tree. It can keep the shoes flat, easily wipe the wrinkles of the shoes, and keep your hands clean during the shoe-wiping process. Shoe lasts can also be replaced by waste newspapers.

shoe polish:

Shoe polish is divided into two types: cream or paste shoe polish, and wax Polish. Cream or paste shoe polish is great for moisturizing and maintaining the elasticity of leather. It will be absorbed by the leather while still maintaining its breathability. Most shoe polishes contain mineral oil. Shoe polish can help restore the color of leather, but it is not as effective as shoe wax in covering scratches.

Shoe wax can shine shoes better than shoe polish, but it blocks the pores of the leather, which makes the leather dryer over time. Most shoe waxes contain organic solvents or turpentine and beeswax. Shoe wax is the most effective way to cover leather scratches.

Also, be careful not to use liquid shoe polish, as it can quickly polish the leather but can dry out or even crack it.

shoe brush:

You can choose a horsehair shoe brush for the final polishing process of leather shoe maintenance.

Leather shoe cleaner:

Leather cleaner can effectively remove dust, stains and old shoe polish or maintenance products that cover the leather. Clean your leather shoes regularly with a shoe cleaner, then place them in a last and allow them to air dry naturally (never place your shoes near a fire, as this will cause the leather to dry out).
