The dangers of removing porcelain teeth and redoing them

When getting porcelain teeth for the first time, some people may feel that the effect is not ideal and choose to remove and redo it. However, the porcelain teeth are already placed on the teeth. If they are forcibly removed and then repeatedly redone, it will cause a certain impact on the teeth in the mouth. Therefore, when choosing to get porcelain teeth, you must choose a formal place, and if it is not suitable, it needs to be removed.

How long is the lifespan of porcelain teeth?

Porcelain teeth are beautiful, lifelike, strong and durable, but how long is the lifespan of porcelain teeth? If porcelain teeth are short-lived, then they will be meaningless. The key factor that determines the lifespan of porcelain teeth is the tightness.

Porcelain teeth are placed on top of real teeth, so there will be a gap between them and the real teeth. Porcelain teeth are fixed to the polished diseased teeth with adhesives, and the gap between the porcelain teeth and the real teeth is sealed with adhesives. Therefore, the closer the porcelain teeth and the real teeth fit, the smaller the gap between them, and the more conducive it is to protecting natural teeth. The larger the gap between the two, or the poor quality of the adhesive, the more likely it is that bacteria will enter the gap and cause corrosion to the natural teeth, forming caries. The real teeth inside will be damaged, and the porcelain teeth will become a tree without roots. It can be seen how critical the tightness is to the life of porcelain teeth.

When getting porcelain teeth, you must go to a regular, professional dental institution to prevent cross infection and complications. Informal dental clinics may sell inferior products as good ones, and the lifespan of the porcelain teeth will not be guaranteed.

The above is an introduction to the lifespan of porcelain teeth, for reference only. The lifespan of porcelain teeth is closely related to their tightness, and the level of tightness is determined by the quality of the porcelain teeth.

Types of Porcelain Teeth

Porcelain teeth are composed of two layers: an inner metal base layer and an outer porcelain layer. They are divided into three categories according to the different materials of the metal base crowns: precious metal alloy porcelain crowns (represented by gold alloy porcelain crowns), non-precious metal alloy porcelain crowns (represented by nickel-chromium alloy porcelain crowns and cobalt-chromium alloy porcelain crowns), and titanium alloy porcelain crowns.

1. Precious metal alloy porcelain crown: Porcelain crowns made of precious metals are called precious metal porcelain crowns. Precious metals have good chemical inertness, making them resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The most commonly used precious metals in dentistry include: gold, platinum, palladium, etc.

2. Non-precious metal alloy porcelain crown: Porcelain crowns made of non-precious metals as metal base crowns are called non-precious metal porcelain crowns. Non-precious metals are easily oxidized at high temperatures and have relatively weak corrosion resistance, especially in a humid oral environment. Metal ions are easily precipitated, which may cause gray discoloration of the gums. Some metals are also allergenic. The most commonly used non-precious metals in dentistry include: nickel, chromium, cobalt, aluminum, etc.
