Ingredients of transparent soap

Many people like to use laundry soap when washing clothes, because compared with washing powder and laundry liquid, laundry soap can make clothes wash more cleanly, and it does not hurt hands. It is not so irritating to the skin when worn. There are many kinds of laundry soap, including whitening soap, degreasing soap, and many other kinds. There is also a transparent soap. So what are the ingredients of transparent soap?

In short, non-transparent soap contains phosphorus, which has a certain impact on the environment and water. The feel of transparent soap is better than non-transparent soap because a small amount of talcum powder or lubricant is added to it, which is generally non-toxic.

To be specific, transparent soap (the main ingredients are sodium salts of fatty acids and sorbitan) and washing powder (the main ingredients are sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate and sodium tripolyphosphate) are all alkaline chemical products with a pH between 9 and 11. There is no such thing as "acid-base neutralization"; secondly, the main ingredient of transparent soap, sodium fatty acid, will combine with calcium and magnesium ions in water to form a precipitate, affecting the detergency. The sodium tripolyphosphate contained in washing powder has the effect of complexing calcium and magnesium ions and softening hard water, which can improve rather than reduce the detergency of transparent soap; thirdly, the sodium fatty acid in transparent soap and the sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate in washing powder can produce a "synergistic detergency effect", improving the detergency of both. Fourth, transparent soap can inhibit the foaming ability of detergent, making clothes easier to rinse. Since mixing the two has many benefits, the high-efficiency low-foam laundry detergent sold on the market today contains 3-5% soap ingredients.

The ingredients of the two are the same, mainly sodium soap of fatty acids. The difference lies in two aspects.

1. The soap making process is relatively rough and the oil refining process is not strict. Transparent soap requires that the oil undergoes refining processes such as alkali washing and water washing. So soap is also called stinky soap.

2. There is no grinding process in the soap molding process. The milling process can arrange the crystal phase of sodium fatty acids in an orderly manner, which helps to improve transparency. The national standard has different requirements for the transparency index of transparent soap and laundry soap (soap). Transparent soaps have a transparency indicator, while laundry soaps do not.
