Tips on tuberculosis

Because tuberculosis is highly contagious, many parents taught our children some tips on how to prevent tuberculosis when they were young. Many parents do not know how to prevent their children from going to crowded places, because crowded places are always full of dangers. Not only are there human traffickers, but many germs are also spread through the crowd. So what are some tips on how to prevent tuberculosis?

In addition to regular treatment, we also need to do a good job of daily health care. It is best to live a rational life, not work too hard, or be overly stressed. We need to change those bad habits, such as frequent smoking or drinking. These bad habits will directly pose a certain threat to our body. For the high-risk groups, we must actively carry out prevention and treatment, especially children under 5 years old, who need the attention of parents and friends, so that the disease can be discovered early and treated early.

How to prevent tuberculosis infection:

1. After discovering that a family member has tuberculosis, he or she can be hospitalized or not, but active medication treatment should be taken and attention should be paid to isolation to prevent infection to family members.

2. Patients with pulmonary tuberculosis should not spit anywhere, because their sputum contains tuberculosis bacteria, which will fly everywhere in the air and may cause infection when inhaled by people with low immunity. The sputum should be wrapped in paper and then burned. If the sputum of a tuberculosis patient is yellow, it is a bacterial infection and he should receive anti-inflammatory treatment in time.

3. When eating, it is best to separate the bowls and chopsticks used by tuberculosis patients from those used by family members, and put the dishes on a separate plate of the tuberculosis patient. Although pulmonary tuberculosis is mainly transmitted through the respiratory tract, we still need to take precautions in our daily lives.

4. If someone in your family has tuberculosis, it is best to let him or her sleep in a separate room and keep the room ventilated, because tuberculosis can also be transmitted through the air. If you often share a room with a tuberculosis patient, and if you have not received the tuberculosis vaccine and have low body resistance, it is easy to be infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and contract pulmonary tuberculosis. Therefore, try not to rest in the same room with people with tuberculosis, especially pulmonary tuberculosis.

5. It is necessary to ensure that the child is vaccinated against tuberculosis after birth. After vaccination, the human body will develop a certain immunity to this bacteria. Therefore, the child must be vaccinated against tuberculosis as required.

Therefore, prevention of tuberculosis should start with small things. For patients with tuberculosis bacteria in their sputum, they should be isolated and treated well. After they recover, they should try to avoid contact between their mouths and bowls and chopsticks. When patients with tuberculosis go out, it is best to wear a mask to prevent the tuberculosis bacteria from spreading to normal people through the respiratory tract. Children who are weak and susceptible to infection should strengthen their nutrition and enhance their body's resistance. As long as the patients receive regular anti-tuberculosis treatment, they are basically non-contagious. Therefore, patients with tuberculosis should try not to kiss their babies.
