The blood types we usually know are mainly divided into type A, type B, type O and type AB, and we rarely know about the Rh blood type. In fact, Rh type is also a relatively important blood type. The Rh blood type system mainly has six antigens, among which Rh is positive and the others are negative. Generally, there are two main methods to identify Rh-positive blood type, one is the proteolytic enzyme method and the other is the saline medium method. 1. Types of RH blood types The Rh blood group system contains 6 antigens, namely C, c, D, d, E, and e. Any human red blood cell containing D antigen (also known as Rh antigen) is Rh positive, otherwise it is Rh negative. This means that the four main blood types that have been discovered, A, B, O and AB, are further divided into Rh positive and negative. With the continuous research on Rh blood type, it is believed that the Rh blood type system may be the most complex blood type system among red blood cells. Rh blood type has no natural antibodies. Its antibodies are mostly produced by blood transfusion (Rh-negative people are transfused with Rh-positive blood) or pregnancy (Rh-negative mothers are pregnant with Rh-positive fetuses), which has important clinical significance. 2. How to identify RH positive The identification of RH positive blood type generally refers to the detection of D antigen in the RH system. Depending on whether the patient's red blood cells carry D antigen, it is divided into Rh positive and Rh negative. Generally speaking, there are two methods to identify RH positive blood type, one is the proteolytic enzyme method, and the other is the saline medium method. Of course, if you really need to identify RH positive blood type, it is recommended that you go to a regular hospital for blood tests. 3. Genetic rules of RH blood type There are only two types of Rh (D) blood types, positive and negative, and the same is true for its inheritance. Rh (D) blood type inheritance rules: Parents' Rh (D) blood type: positive + positive Children's Rh (D) blood type: positive / negative; Parents' Rh (D) blood type: positive + negative Children's Rh (D) blood type: positive / negative; Parents' Rh (D) blood type: negative + negative; children's Rh (D) blood type: negative. Editor's tip: There are some rare exceptions, such as lesions, gene mutations, etc., which can cause the blood type inheritance rules of children to be inconsistent with those of their parents. The most accurate way to test paternity is to conduct DNA analysis and testing to directly check whether the inheritance mode of the genetic material itself conforms to Mendel's laws of inheritance. |
