Standard of alanine aminotransferase

Standard of alanine aminotransferase

We all know that there are many transaminases in the human body. The function of these transaminases is mainly to promote the metabolism of new particles in the human body and make the various organs of the human body work normally. These enzymes have a standard value, so once these enzymes are too high or too low, the human body will feel uncomfortable. Alanine aminotransferase is a type of enzyme, so what is the calibration of alanine aminotransferase?

The normal value of transaminase is 0-40 units, but transaminase is considered normal when it is below 2.5 times the normal value, that is, below 100. Poor rest or inspection errors may cause this to be slightly higher. It is best to refer to other examinations to determine whether liver function is normal. The liver's compensatory function is very strong, and abnormal manifestations will only occur if the condition is very serious.

If you have pain in the pit of your stomach, you should be aware of the possibility of stomach disease, peptic ulcer, or stomach spasm. It has nothing to do with high transaminase levels.

Clinical significance

Clinically, elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) serum values are mostly caused by various diseases. If the ALT serum value is 2-3 times greater than the normal value of 40KU/L and persists for more than two weeks, there is a possibility of a certain disease and the patient should actively go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination to confirm the cause.

1. The increase of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) value is mainly caused by liver and gallbladder diseases, such as various acute and chronic viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, cholecystitis, etc.

2. Myocardial and skeletal muscle damage, such as myocarditis, heart failure, etc., can lead to pathological increases in ALT serum values.

3. Infectious diseases such as pneumonia, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, etc. can all lead to elevated serum values of alanine aminotransferase (ALT); other diseases: such as skeletal muscle diseases (dermatomyositis, progressive muscular atrophy), pulmonary infarction, renal infarction, shock and infectious mononucleosis.

4. In addition, some non-pathological factors such as drinking, strenuous exercise, soft tissue injury, pregnancy, etc. can cause a slight increase in ALT serum value, but generally not exceeding 100 KU.
