1. Common treatment methods for insects in the eyes

1. Use tears to drain it out

Gently close your eyes for a while, or gently lift your upper eyelids with your hands. Foreign objects attached to the surface of the eyes can usually be discharged with tears.

2. Turn over your eyelids to find the foreign body

If the foreign body in the eye cannot be expelled by itself and there is still pain, the foreign body may be on the conjunctiva inside the upper eyelid. You can turn the eyelid over to find the foreign body, gently wipe it off with a wet cotton swab or a clean handkerchief, or rinse it with clean water, and the pain will disappear immediately.

3. Use the lower eyelashes to scrape the upper eyelids

Close your eyes for 5 seconds, pull up your upper eyelid with your hand, and use your lower eyelashes to scrape your upper eyelid downwards. After doing this several times, gently wipe your lower eye horizontally with a soft, wet towel.

4. Immerse your face in a basin of water and blink

When tears cannot flush out the foreign body, you can prepare a basin of clean water, gently close your eyes, immerse your face in the basin, and blink your eyes a few times in the water. This will flush out the foreign body in the eye and it is not a big deal.

5. If there is a foreign body on the cornea, you must go to the hospital

If you still cannot find the foreign body in your eye after turning over your eyelids, the foreign body may be on the cornea. Do not try to remove it by yourself. You must go to the hospital for treatment.

2. What to do if a bug gets into your baby's eyes

1. Wash under the tap

Bring the child under the faucet, then use your hands to fill it with cold water to wash the child's eyes. Remember, the child may not be used to it because the eyes are not used to water. It is better to let the child master it by himself.

2. Rinse eyes with water

3. Move your eyes and use tears to drain

4. Put a few drops of eye drops

If you have eye drops at home, remember, they are not the kind that treat eye diseases, but the kind that moisturize the eyes. Put a few drops into the child's eyes, and they can also flow out.

5. Wipe gently with a damp towel

The mother can also dip the corner of a clean towel in water, then gently pull open the child's eyelids, and then wipe out the small fly when she sees it. The movement should be gentle, and the child should not move around. Slowly turn the eyeballs until you feel the small fly has been moved to the corner of the eye.
