What to do if there is fat on the liver

When the fat on the liver reaches a certain level, you will develop fatty liver. Fatty liver can not only lead to other liver diseases, but also cause many other diseases in the human body. It is a common disease with a high incidence in modern society. If you find that you have no appetite, are often tired and weak, have an aversion to oily foods, and have a bloating feeling in your upper abdomen, you should suspect whether you have signs of fatty liver. Once you are diagnosed with fatty liver, you need to make adjustments to your lifestyle. While increasing your exercise, you must also eat a light diet and avoid greasy foods.

1. Harmfulness of fatty liver

1. Cause cardiovascular disease

Patients with fatty liver are often accompanied by high blood lipids, high cholesterol and other conditions, which increase blood viscosity and eventually lead to thickening and hardening of blood vessel walls, forming atherosclerosis. As a result, the heart does not receive adequate blood supply, causing cardiac ischemia, myocardial spasm, angina pectoris or myocardial infarction.

2. Cause digestive dysfunction

Fatty liver directly affects the liver's digestive function, leading to indigestion, loss of appetite, anorexia, abdominal distension and nausea after eating, lipid metabolism disorders, etc. Long-term loss of appetite can cause lack of energy, neurasthenia, dry skin and dull complexion.

3. Causes liver cirrhosis and liver cancer

If fatty liver develops into cirrhosis or liver cancer, it will take a long time, usually at least fifteen to twenty years. However, there are very few patients whose fatty liver develops into cirrhosis or liver cancer.

2. Signs of fatty liver

1. Loss of appetite

Loss of appetite is one of the common symptoms of fatty liver. If you have loss of appetite for a long time, in addition to suspecting gastritis and other diseases, you should also consider the possibility of fatty liver.

2. Fatigue

Moderate or severe fatty liver may cause fatigue and easy exhaustion.

3. Gastrointestinal manifestations

If mild fatty liver is accompanied by liver function damage, it may be accompanied by nausea, aversion to oil, upper abdominal fullness and other discomforts. Nausea often occurs alone.

3. Treatment of fatty liver

1. Control your weight

Many people think that pursuing a slim figure is just for personal appearance. In fact, maintaining a good figure will also make our body healthier. Because if we are overweight, our liver will work harder, which will increase the chance of developing fatty liver.

2. Eat a healthy diet

The three meals a day should be properly allocated, with a combination of coarse and fine foods and a balanced nutrition. Adequate amount of protein can remove fat from the liver. Quit drinking, quit smoking, eat less fatty meat, and stay up late less.

3. Keep exercising

Keep exercising every day and choose appropriate sports according to your physical condition. Such as jogging, playing table tennis, badminton and other sports; start with a small amount of exercise, step by step, and gradually reach the appropriate amount of exercise to enhance the consumption of body fat.

4. Massage acupuncture points

Whether it is daily health care or disease prevention and treatment, we can adopt the method of acupoint massage. If we want to nourish and protect the liver, we can massage Taichong point and Ganshu point more often. These two points are very important to our liver health.
