The whole process of breast augmentation with implants

Many women go for breast augmentation surgery because they are not satisfied with their breasts and feel that their breasts are too small. In fact, when deciding to have this surgery, it is a private and cautious matter. It must be considered repeatedly and the consent of the family must be obtained. In particular, it is necessary to consider whether the consequences of an unsuccessful operation are within the range that one can bear. In order to know what the whole process of breast augmentation surgery is like?

The breast is composed of adipose tissue, glandular tissue, blood vessels, nerves and lymphatic vessels. The surface is covered with skin, and the pectoralis major muscle is underneath the breast. Breast implants can be placed partially underneath the pectoralis major muscle or on top of the pectoralis major muscle, depending on the thickness of your breast tissue and the ability of the breast tissue to properly cover the breast implant.

Fatty tissue makes the breasts soft to the touch and gives them shape, and also relies on the elasticity of the skin. When you are young, breasts are made up of a lot of glandular tissue and a little bit of fatty tissue, so they are firm. As we age, glandular tissue is gradually replaced by fatty tissue, the breasts lose firmness, and over time they become loose and saggy. Of course, pregnancy and breastfeeding can also affect the shape of your breasts. Since breasts do not contain muscle tissue, it is useless to try to enlarge them through exercise.

What materials are artificial breast implants made of?

A breast implant (also called a breast prosthesis) consists of a silicone elastomer shell that is usually filled with silicone gel or a soft, adhesive silicone gel with shape memory. The implant can also be filled with a saline solution. Silicone gel and saline solution are the fillers that have been studied the most and are most widely used. In addition to these fillers, others such as soybean oil, PVP and hydrogel are also in the clinical trial application stage.

Do breast implants cause breast disease?

The answer is no. You don't have to worry that silicone gel implants will increase the risk of breast tumors after surgery, because there is no medical evidence to prove this so far.

Breast implants have been linked to autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma and connective tissue disorders (CTDS), as well as a variety of other symptoms such as back pain, chronic fatigue and problems concentrating. However, many major scientific studies conducted at reputable institutions involving thousands of women have found no scientific evidence to support such a link.

What shape of breast implant is best for you?

Because every woman's breast shape and size is different, implants also come in different shapes and sizes. Some implants are round, while others are shaped more like a drop of water.

Round implants, however, over time, due to gravity and the gradual increase in age, the upper part of the breast will become "empty" and the implant will sink more, causing the breast to appear less firm and slowly become saggy.

The teardrop-shaped implant follows the natural lines of the body like a teardrop, and the upper part of the breast remains fuller for a longer period of time, giving you a more natural-looking breast.
