1. Soil

The best soil for growing yew is loose, humus-rich, water- and fertilizer-retaining, and breathable soil. A mixed matrix made of peat soil, perlite and loam can be selected. Since clay is not breathable and sandy soil has poor fertilizer and water retention capabilities, they are not suitable for use.

2. Lighting

Yew likes a cool growing environment, so during the cultivation process, it is necessary to provide appropriate shading and should not be placed in a place with direct sunlight, as this will cause the moisture of the yew to evaporate quickly, causing the branches and leaves to become dehydrated and the leaves to dry out. 3. Watering

The yew tree does not have very high requirements for its growing environment. 6. Bonsai pruning

When repotting the yew tree, if the root system cannot keep up with the nutrient supply to the roots and branches and leaves, causing the leaves to curl and dry up, pruning can be used to reduce the consumption of nutrients by the branches and leaves and quickly restore root growth.

7. Transplantation and repotting of yew

After about a year of cultivation of the new yew tree, the seedling will gradually grow bigger and the root system will develop, so it will need to be transplanted and repotted.
