What should I do if I have tinnitus in my ears

1. Auditory system diseases

2. Systemic diseases

(3) Endocrine diseases: abnormal thyroid function, diabetes, etc.

Tinnitus Treatment

For early treatment of tinnitus, 3 to 6 months is an important period of treatment.

Treat the underlying disorder causing tinnitus.

2. Medication

Vasodilators, calcium ion blockers, tinnitus suppressants, drugs that reduce the effects of tinnitus, and neurotrophic drugs, etc.

3. Psychological consultation and adjustment

Analyze the causes and pathological conditions of tinnitus, eliminate the patient's worries, warn the patient to place himself in an environment rich in sound, actively contact the sounds of nature, strive to coexist with tinnitus, compare tinnitus to the roar of a train, refrigerator noise, etc. in order to adapt to and get used to these sounds, let the patient try his best to eliminate the psychological reactions caused by tinnitus, suppress negative emotions, and build confidence that tinnitus can be treated.

4. Masking treatment

It can be done using tinnitus therapy devices, tinnitus maskers, pure tone audiometers or hearing aids.

5. Tinnitus retraining and habituation therapy

The purpose is to make the patient adapt and get used to tinnitus, thereby reducing the severity of tinnitus and relieving the physical and mental disorders caused by tinnitus to the patient. This therapy has been widely used in clinical practice abroad and is suitable for patients with long-term and severe tinnitus. It mainly includes consultation and sound therapy.
