Blood in stool and anal burning sensation

Blood in the stool and a burning sensation in the anus are typical manifestations of perianal diseases, the most likely of which is anal fissure, which is more complicated and can be caused by hemorrhoids. When this happens to us, the key is to find the cause. After all, there are many possible diseases. When you are not sure, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible to avoid causing greater impact on our body due to delay.

Anal fissure hematochezia refers to blood in the stool. Anal fissure causes blood in the stool, which is bright red and may leave blood stains after dripping or wiping with toilet paper. There is also severe anal pain after defecation. Anal fissure refers to a disease in which the entire layer of skin of the anal canal cracks and forms chronic ulcers. This disease often occurs in the anus, the posterior middle in men and the anterior middle in women. The clinical symptoms are periodic anal pain, bloody stools and constipation. Anal fissure is caused by excessive consumption of spicy or roasted food, which generates internal heat and heats the colon and viscera; or by long-term illness, physical weakness, yin-blood deficiency, insufficient body fluid, lack of intestinal moisture, constipation, hard and rough stools, straining during defecation, abrasions of the anal skin, and re-infection with evil toxins, which do not heal for a long time and form chronic ulcers.

Causes of anal fissure and blood in stool

Hemorrhoids: If you have external hemorrhoids, you can feel a soft nodule at the anus, but you cannot feel internal hemorrhoids. The amount of bleeding is large and not mixed with the stool. Sometimes there is only blood stain on the toilet paper. The bleeding is often related to dry stool or excessive force during defecation, which is also the answer to the reason for anal fissure and bloody stool.

Malignant transformation of the rectum and colon: The incidence of these diseases has increased significantly, and the incidence has increased by 2-3 times. At the beginning of the disease, a small amount of blood can be seen covering the surface of the stool. As the disease progresses, the amount of blood in the stool gradually increases, the stool may become thinner, and even intestinal obstruction (no bowel movement, no flatulence, vomiting, abdominal lumps, abdominal pain) may occur. The stool may contain pus, mucus and a special odor produced by malignant swollen tissue. When systemic symptoms appear, such as decreased appetite, weight loss, edema, anemia, etc., the disease is already in the late stage.

Ulcerative colitis: You need to know the cause of anal fissure and bloody stool, which is also related to this disease. The blood may be bright or dark in color, and almost every stool is mixed with blood and pus. There are often abdominal pain and diarrhea, which may recur or persist for a long time.

Colorectal polyps: Some are benign, while others are prone to malignant transformation (such as adenomatous polyps and villous adenomas). The incidence rate increases with age and may occur singly or multiple times. Blood in the stool is often intermittent and bright red in color. Generally, the amount of blood is not large and the blood is not mixed with the stool. There are no special changes in the stool itself.

diet

① Improvement in diet: Avoid spicy, greasy, fried and other irritating foods. Eat more vegetables and fruits. It is best to eat light foods. The most important thing is to have three meals a day and avoid overeating.

② Improvement in bowel movements: Develop a habit of regular bowel movements, and do not hold back your bowel movements or urine. Even if you do not have any urge to defecate, you should go to the toilet regularly to form a conditioned habitual reflex bowel movement.

③ Improvement in exercise: Actively participate in outdoor sports, exercise more, promote blood circulation in the anus, and enhance resistance and immunity. Kegel exercises can effectively relieve the symptoms of anal fissures by contracting the anus to promote normal blood circulation in the anus.
