1 Symptoms of scrub typhus The incubation period of this disease is 6 to 18 days (9 to 12 days on average). During this period, a painless sore may appear at the site of the chigger larvae bite. Red papules, about 0.3-1.0cm in size. Then blisters are formed, necrosis and bleeding occur in the central part, and a round or oval black scab is formed, which is the eschar. There is a red halo around it. An ulcer forms after the scab falls off. Eschars or ulcers are often found in hidden, moist and sweaty areas such as the armpits, groin, perineum and around the anus. The local lymph nodes near the eschar are swollen and tender. The incidence of eschar varies from place to place, with domestic reports ranging from 85% to 98%, and the vast majority of patients have only one eschar.

2 Symptoms of tick-borne disease The typical symptom of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in the early stage of the disease is sudden high fever, with body temperature reaching above 40°C, and this high fever usually lasts for 4-6 days. Due to the neurotoxicity caused by the virus, patients will experience headaches, orbital pain, and back pain, known as the "three pains" syndrome; because the virus causes extensive damage to the blood vessel walls, the permeability of the blood vessel walls increases, patients will also experience congestion and flushing of the skin of the face, neck, and upper chest, commonly known as the "three reds", which is very similar to a "drunk look", and cord-like hemorrhages will appear on the skin of the trunk and upper limbs, and conjunctival blood. Patients also often experience symptoms such as fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Severely ill patients may experience bleeding symptoms such as hemoptysis, hematemesis, blood in the stool, and hematuria. Routine blood examination showed leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia, positive urine protein, hematuria, membrane-like substances in the urine and other manifestations of renal function impairment.
