When the bottom of the pot is heated, the camphor oil in the camphor wood chips will evaporate and rise with the water vapor, passing through the bamboo tube at the top of the wooden barrel all the way to the cooling pool. After passing through the cooling pool, the water vapor is cooled and turned into liquid and flows out from the end. The staff can then separate the outflowing water into oil and water to obtain camphor oil.
