The drip coffee pot is also a common type of coffee pot, and its usage is relatively simple. Vietnamese coffee has a long history, and the history of using drip coffee pots is also relatively long. It is also a relatively important coffee utensil. When using a drip coffee pot, you must take out the filter inside and add condensed milk for later use. Let us learn about the specific usage methods below.

How to use a drip coffee maker

1. Disassemble the Vietnamese drip coffee pot and take out the sieve inside; 2. Pour condensed milk into the coffee cup and set aside; 3. Add coffee powder into the coffee pot and press it tightly, 10-15 grams per person; 4. Put the coffee pot on the coffee cup and pour a small amount of hot water to soak the coffee powder but not let it drip. This step is also used in filter coffee, the professional term is "steaming", which takes about 20 seconds;

5. After 20 seconds of steaming, screw on the sieve and pour in 95° boiling water. The tightness of the sieve will affect the extraction speed and coffee strength. Generally, the tighter the twist, the longer the extraction time and the stronger the coffee. If you feel that the extraction is too slow after adding water, you can use the spoon handle as a screwdriver and loosen the sieve appropriately. 6. After 3 minutes, when all the coffee has dripped into the coffee cup below, use a coffee spoon to stir the condensed milk and coffee evenly. A cup of unique Vietnamese coffee is ready.

The use of a coffee pot is very simple. In Japan, where coffee is very popular, it is rare to see people using a Vietnamese drip coffee pot to extract coffee. However, in Vietnam, in the streets and alleys, in every household, you can see ordinary Vietnamese people using drip coffee pots to slowly drip coffee.

How to use a drip coffee maker:

There are currently two mainstream ways to use a drip coffee maker. One method is to put the coffee powder on and then screw on the sieve, and then add water; the other method is to put the coffee powder on and flatten it, then add a small amount of water, let the coffee powder and water fully contact each other, and then screw on the sieve. When pouring water for the first time, you should pay attention to the amount of water. It should be even, otherwise the coffee powder and water will drip into the coffee cup quickly, resulting in more grounds in the coffee liquid. Its principle is similar to the first steaming of filter coffee. The coffee powder will expand and become a state of steaming with hot water, which helps to extract evenly and efficiently.
