If you are nearsighted and don’t wear glasses

If you are nearsighted and don’t wear glasses

Wearing glasses is a rather painful thing for many people. First of all, a pair of glasses will always make people look dull and lifeless, except for very few people who can wear them well. Secondly, wearing glasses will bring inconvenience to daily life. Once there is heat, white fog will form on the lenses. When eating hot food, you can only take off the glasses, which will make it difficult to see clearly. Therefore, some people do not wear glasses even if they are nearsighted. What are the harms of doing so?

The purpose of wearing glasses is to improve vision and see distant objects clearly. If teenagers suffer from myopia, they cannot see the words on the blackboard clearly during class, which will inevitably affect their studies, so they need to wear glasses.

Some of them suffer from pseudomyopia, which is caused by tense eye muscle adjustment. There are many ways to relax the adjustment and restore vision. If you wear glasses, the tense accommodation function cannot be relaxed, and over time, the fake will become real, and the fake will become real. There is also a component of pseudomyopia in true myopia, which can also be eliminated through treatment. The remaining myopia is only very shallow in reading and does not affect classroom learning. You can also wear glasses without them. However, if it affects classroom learning, you need to wear glasses.

Therefore, whether or not to wear glasses, you must check whether you have pseudomyopia. The examination method is very simple, which is to use eye drops such as Double Star Eye Drops to dilate the pupil and then test the eyes. If the myopia degree disappears or decreases, and the vision recovers or improves, it means that you have pseudomyopia. Therefore, when parents see that their children have poor eyesight, they should not rush to the optical shop to get glasses. Although they can test the eyes, they do not understand the condition of children's eyes. Unless the degree of myopia is high, it is difficult to distinguish whether it is false or true myopia.

If a child has true myopia, regardless of the severity of the refractive error, as long as it affects classroom learning, he or she will need to wear glasses or receive treatment. Is it okay not to wear it? No, because without glasses, they tend to squint to read the words on the blackboard. Doing so will inevitably increase unnecessary accommodation burden on the eye. Because squinting utilizes the contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle of the eyelid, its force acts on the eyeball, which can increase the intraocular pressure and cause the myopia refractive power to deepen.

Myopia is a very helpless thing. You have to wear a pair of glasses all day long. If you don’t wear them, it will get worse. If you wear them, it will also cause dependence to a certain extent and aggravate the myopia.

If you are myopic, you should first go to the hospital or eyewear store for pupil dilation and eyesight testing. If it is true myopia, you must wear glasses. If it is false myopia, you need to protect your eyes and wait for your vision to recover.

If you are nearsighted and do not wear glasses, your myopia is likely to worsen. When you then go to get glasses, the degree will be very high and cannot be restored.
