What is the correct sleeping position

If the sleeping posture is incorrect, it can be harmful to people's health and may even cause cervical spondylosis or some muscle injuries. So, do you know what the correct sleeping posture includes? Now let's take a look at how to achieve the correct sleeping posture based on the correct introduction. I hope this knowledge can help our health.

Before we understand the correct sleeping position, we can first understand the common sense concept:

First, when people sleep, their spine has a relatively special physiological curvature, which includes the cervical curvature and the lumbar curvature.

Second, under normal circumstances, the muscles, tissues and bones of the human body should avoid being in incorrect postures for a long time to prevent repetitive stress injuries (RSI).

Based on these two concepts, we introduce the concept of correct sleeping posture: the ideal sleeping position should maintain the normal physiological curvature of the spine and ensure that the muscles of the whole body relax naturally. Otherwise, sleeping for 8 hours longer and repeating it year after year may cause spinal lesions or acute injuries or physical discomfort such as stiff neck.

Generally, we all think that it is better to stretch our legs when sleeping, but in fact, it is best to put a pillow under the legs to maintain a certain curvature. Similarly, when sleeping on your side, the head should be tilted slightly back compared to the shoulders, and the hips and knees should be slightly bent to keep the muscles naturally relaxed. If the legs are too straight, the muscles and tissues will be stretched to a certain extent. Sleeping on your stomach is not conducive to breathing or keeping your neck in a natural position. It should be noted that, in fact, for healthy people, the requirements for sleeping posture are not very high, but for some patients, such as those with cervical spondylosis, it is quite necessary to adopt the correct sleeping posture. In addition, the choice of bedding, such as pillows and mattresses, is also related to the health of sleep.

In our lives, we must understand the correct sleeping posture. Even if our body is in good condition, a bad sleeping posture will still affect our health and even cause a high incidence of diseases, which will affect people's sleep health. We must know more about this.
