In the process of using zippers, some problems are often encountered, such as the zipper "burst" or "stripped". In addition, the two sides of the zipper are often asymmetrical, which will affect the use of the zipper. What's worse, one side of the zipper directly detaches. In fact, this problem is easy to solve and can be repaired according to the following methods. How to quickly fix the zipper on one side: 1. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to gently pry open the detached edge a little bit. With one hand, pull the fabric on the other side of the zipper as hard as you can, and with the other hand, push the zipper back in. 2. Pull the two heads level. Then use pliers to gently pinch the zipper back into place. 3. If the zipper slips and comes off easily, you can just use pliers to pinch the butt of the zipper a little tighter. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to gently pry open the detached edge a little bit. With one hand, pull the fabric on the other side of the zipper as hard as you can, and with the other hand, push the detached zipper back in. The two heads are leveled. Then use pliers to gently pinch the zipper back into place. If the zipper slips and is easy to come off, you can just use pliers to pinch the zipper's butt slightly to tighten it. 1 Zip it all the way up. If possible, pull the zipper to either end so that all the teeth are exposed. Try to expose all the teeth so that the zipper can be pulled back smoothly. If the zipper is caught in the fabric of your clothing and won't open all the way, leave it that way and find a way to deal with it. 2 Rub the drawing pen over the teeth. Rub the tip of a drawing pencil along the teeth of the zipper so that a layer of pencil dust is left on the teeth. Pay attention to the problem areas of the zipper, as these are the roughest and need the most lubrication. However, be sure to run the drawing pen over the entire zipper so that the entire zipper is lubricated. If it's caught on clothing, try to apply more pencil dust under and around the area where it's caught. You can also put some pencil tip on the stuck fabric to make it easier to pull out. The pencil now acts as a lubricant that is easier to control. 3 Pull the zipper back and forth. Slowly pull the zipper back and forth over the lubricated zipper. If there is even the slightest resistance, stop and add more pencil tip, then continue pulling until it stretches from one end to the other. Don't go too fast, as this may cause other problems. If it is stuck in the fabric, you will need to slowly "wiggle" the zipper to gently pull it out. 4 If the pencil tip doesn't work, try a stronger lubricant. Other lubricants are soap, candle wax, glass cleaner, and lip balm. Apply the same method to the zipper. 5 Then test it. Note that you may have to reapply several times for it to work. |
