Skin health is very important and has a huge impact. Healthy skin can create good conditions for the body. Therefore, people are generally very concerned about skin health, fearing some serious skin problems. For example, skin lumps are a common phenomenon. For most people, the occurrence of this phenomenon has little effect on the body, but what are skin lumps? Hard bumps on the skin are usually subcutaneous lipomas , which are benign tumors of adipose tissue. It is composed of mature adipose tissue and can occur in any part of the body where there is fat. Lipoma has a thin fibrous endothelium with many fibrous cords inside, forming many intervals vertically and horizontally. It is most commonly found in the subcutaneous tissue of the neck, shoulders, back, buttocks, breasts and limbs, face, scalp and other parts; very rarely, it may appear in areas where there was originally no fat tissue. If the tumor contains a larger proportion of fibrous tissue, it is called a fibrolipoma. Subcutaneous lipoma is a very common skin lesion formed by the accumulation of normal fat cells. It accounts for about 80% of benign soft tissue tumors. It often occurs under the skin and can also occur in deep tissues such as internal organs. It can be multiple and can occur at any age, but is most often found between the ages of 40 and 60. The lesions are usually slow growing, round, soft, movable, and painless to palpation. The most likely possibility is seborrheic keratosis (also known as seborrheic warts) . These waxy lumps may appear alone or in clusters, usually on the face, chest, shoulders or back. Another possibility is soft fibroids (skin tags), which often appear on the neck, armpits, under the bottom line of the bra or other skin folds. The above two types are benign lumps that occur with age. Don’t worry. If you think they are unsightly, you can consider asking a doctor to remove them. Other possibilities : If the lump is painful, bleeds, or grows rapidly, it may need to be checked to see if it is benign or skin cancer. If the lump doubles in size every few weeks, this is a dangerous sign and must be paid attention to. Precautions If you want to remove it, you can do so, but it generally will not become malignant. If you don't feel any discomfort, you can ignore it. In fact, many people have it. It is best not to move or squeeze it casually to prevent infection. |
