How to detect bladder cancer early?

Hematuria is the most common and earliest symptom of bladder cancer. Patients generally present with occasional, visible, and painless hematuria. The hematuria symptom can be relieved without any treatment, which can easily give patients the illusion that their condition has improved and the disease has been cured, thus delaying treatment. Urinalysis for initial screening of tumors: A small number of bladder cancer patients may not have macroscopic hematuria, but may only show excessive red blood cells in the urine under a microscope, i.e. microscopic hematuria. In addition, patients may also have microscopic hematuria after macroscopic hematuria stops on its own. Whether bladder cancer can be diagnosed early is crucial to the patient's prognosis.

What foods to eat for bladder cancer

What to do if bladder cancer causes blood in urine

Once hematuria persists, the patient should first be treated with indwelling catheterization and continuous bladder irrigation to flush the hematuria out of the body in time to prevent it from forming blood clots and causing bladder tamponade. Cystoscopy can also be performed to flush out blood clots in the bladder, and emergency bladder tumor transurethral resection can be performed if necessary to stop bleeding and remove the tumor. At the same time, the removed tumor can be pathologically staged to decide whether to perform a complete cystectomy or a bladder tumor transurethral resection. Hematuria in bladder cancer is relatively common.
