What is serum alt

Serum ALT is a very useful sensitive indicator for checking routine liver function. When the patient's liver cells are damaged, the ALT index will rise, but the ALT index cannot be used as a basis for diagnosing hepatitis B. If ALT fluctuates slightly, there is no need to be overly nervous. In this case, the condition can be alleviated by ensuring good rest and a reasonable diet. Now let us understand what serum ALT is specifically.

There are many reasons for the increase of alanine aminotransferase, most of which are caused by the following diseases:

1. Viral hepatitis, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis A, hepatitis C, etc., immune-mediated hepatocyte degeneration and necrosis, and alanine aminotransferase is released into the blood;

2. Long-term excessive drinking, whether it is ethanol or the acetaldehyde produced by decomposition, is fatal to liver cells;

3. Primary liver cancer, cirrhosis and liver cancer caused by various hepatitis, and alanine aminotransferase levels increase significantly;

4. Acute attacks of digestive tract diseases, cholecystitis, and gallstones often cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, jaundice, etc., which can lead to elevated alanine aminotransferase;

5. Drug-induced liver damage caused by taking multiple anti-cancer and anti-tumor drugs and toxic liver damage caused by exposure to chemical reagents can lead to elevated alanine aminotransferase.

6. Patients with heart disease, tuberculosis, and pneumonia often have elevated ALT values.

When the ALT value rises sharply, you should actively go to the hospital for examination to find out the cause. The fundamental strategy for treatment is to prescribe the right medicine. Do not take enzyme-lowering drugs privately. Even if the alanine aminotransferase is lowered, it will rise again when the drug is stopped, which does not cure the symptoms or the root cause.

At present, it has dozens of cutting-edge inspection and treatment equipment, a high-level inspection department, the 52nd DNA gene amplification (PCR) testing laboratory in the country, and a 99.9% sterility rate, which ensures the safety and effectiveness of the treatment of liver disease patients. We use advanced equipment such as advanced fluorescent quantitative gene (DNA) detection system, fully automatic biochemical analyzer, color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic instrument, computer information liver disease comprehensive treatment instrument, and other advanced equipment to provide personalized comprehensive treatment plans to treat various chronic viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, drug-induced hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis, ascites and other diseases.
