Bilateral patellar replacement surgery refers to a medical procedure to treat the replacement of the human patellar joint. It is a relatively safe surgical method. An artificial prosthesis is introduced into the human body through medical techniques, and the artificial prosthesis is used to replace the diseased position of the patellar joint. Generally, the success rate of the operation is high and the effect is also good. Is bilateral patellar replacement surgery effective? Introduction to arthroplasty After more than 30 years of clinical practice, the therapeutic effect of artificial hip replacement has been fully recognized and has developed into a reliable treatment method. The main purpose of artificial joint replacement is to relieve joint pain, correct deformity, and restore and improve joint motion function. Scope of application Osteoarthritis is the preferred indication for total joint replacement, followed by aseptic necrosis of bone (such as femoral head necrosis), certain hip fractures (such as femoral neck fracture), rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic arthritis, benign and malignant bone tumors, ankylosing spondylitis, etc. In short, as long as there are X-ray signs of joint destruction, accompanied by moderate to severe persistent joint pain and dysfunction, and the disease cannot be relieved by various other non-surgical treatments, there are indications for artificial joint replacement. For patients with bilateral femoral head necrosis, bilateral hip or bilateral knee osteoarthritis, sometimes it is necessary to perform bilateral hip or bilateral knee artificial joint replacement surgery simultaneously or successively. For patients with severe rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, multiple joint artificial joint replacements are sometimes required due to pain, stiffness, and dysfunction in multiple joints throughout the body. Artificial replacement Artificial hip replacement refers to a prosthesis similar to human bone joints made of metal materials with good biocompatibility and mechanical properties. The artificial joint is surgically replaced with the joint surface damaged by disease or injury. Its purpose is to remove the lesion, eliminate pain, and restore the joint's activity and original function. Artificial joint replacement has the advantages of better joint mobility, allowing early ambulation and reducing complications of long-term bed rest in elderly patients. Rehabilitation Wear "T-shoes" on the first day after surgery, start knee massage on the second day after surgery, and perform active flexion and extension and resistance exercises of the affected ankle joint. Isometric contraction training of the quadriceps femoris on the affected side was performed 3 to 5 days after surgery, and passive motion of the hip and knee joints on the affected side was performed. Support your body with your elbows, with the help of others or by holding the rings above the bed with both hands, straighten your upper body and lift your hips off the bed. Hold for 10 to 15 seconds and repeat 5 to 10 times. On the 5th day after surgery, place a pillow under the knees to flex the hip 10°~20°, and then use the knees as a fulcrum to do hip-lifting movements, also known as buttock-lifting movements. In the second week after surgery, patients are encouraged to perform active flexion and extension training of the affected hip and knee within the pain-free range. When the hip flexion degree is 45°~60° or <30°, a slide board can be placed under the affected limb, and the heel of the affected side can be placed on a hollow round pad to do lower limb flexion and extension exercises on the slide board. Strength training of the muscles around the affected hip and the quadriceps can be strengthened within the pain-free range. The height of the head of the bed can be gradually raised until the patient can sit in a semi-sitting position on the bed. For patients with lateral approach incision, the semi-sitting time can be gradually prolonged (30~60min). This can be repeated several times a day to prepare for sit-stand practice. |
